If two people sharing a suite should we bring another pair of binoculars

One pair per person is advisable.

 

Also, make sure you know exactly what the specs are for the binoculars provided in the suite...they might not be adequate for the type of viewing you wish.

 

The ones we brought from home are 8 x 42, we were able to spot the bear on the shore in Glacier Bay and did a lot of bird watching with them.

We never take a second pair -- just share the one pair that is supplied in our suite.

In Alaska it is really nice for each person to have their own binoculars.

I will tell you that the ones supplied in the suite are very large and heavy. Not much fun to carry and to hold for any amount of time. We were very glad to had our own.

We're a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens in a balcony) bringing 4 pair - 7X35, 8X42, 10X50 and mini 10X25 (for excursions). The 7X35 and 8X42 are waterproof/fogproof.

Traveling alone, I only bring one pair. However, if one is going someplace like Alaska, I think each person in the party should have their own. There is a lot to see in Alaska and binaculars are very desireable.

we already bring binoculars for everyone in the group. Hard lesson learnt before. We often missed action when the binoculars changed hands.

Yeah, and who feels like readjusting them all the time because your spouse or partner or whomever messed with them. How irritating. All that wasted time fixing them when, if you didn't share, you would have more time on your hands to see the scenic sights. ;)

I wound up with two sets of binoculars because I forgot mine at home and so I purchased another pair in Canada Place about nine years ago. Now I ALWAYS remember to bring a pair.
