Benefits After Sept. 1

Recommended Posts

Its a French Press and they do provide the coffee...........they also have an electric kettle for tea(which they provide as well)(and its also to boil the water for the French Press)

I was unaware that they had French Presses in the JS's. I thought they only had the electric kettle. Thanks for the update.

We are on Mercury next month, so I'll be able to test out the multiple drink situation first hand.... :D That has been questioned over on the Celebrity boards, but everyone who has come back has said they haven't had a problem having as many drinks as they want.

Celebrity's program was pretty bad... they really have improved it substantially with these new changes.

I agree with your assessment and will look forward to your report after you sail the Mercury.:)

I think the JS has a one cup coffee maker now and not the french press-at least that's what I've been hearing. I'd rather have the french press but it's better than nothing. I think french presses are in the full suites.

Ok, I havent been in a JS or higher since January,so looks like my info might be outdated!:(

The change was supposed to be fleet wide this past March. But you know how long it takes one ship to catch up to another ship, that has to catch up to another ship, that..........well you get my point.

This is from the Royal Caribben website:

We will offer complimentary wine and champagne and a 'happy hour' discount of 25 percent off beer, liquor and fountain soda drinks. There is a limit of one drink per member to be served at one time.

The dreaded double post....

It wasn't meant as a 'dreaded double post', Ellen, it was more of a request for clarification. Hot Pot/French Press or coffee pot. Still seems to be a question. Depends on when you were last onboard and where your cabin was. We'll be happy with coffee in the cabin -- Pot or Press. Nice to have in the morn before you're 'presentable'. It was just a fun question as we count down our days with excitment.

REgarding Ice show tickets. We were on the Liberty in April and the mariner in June. No more ice show tickets. Just show up. First come. Reason they said too many people took tickets and did not use them.

thanks--when are the shows held & how long do they take?

I am pretty sure that was their primary objective and by doing so they can add a little more substance to their claim to be a step up from Royal Caribbean. I did note that in the new Celebrity concierge lounge,Elite members (Celebrity's equivalent to Royal Caribbean's Diamond) will be offered a complimentary beverage, not the unlimited number that Diamond members were able to get on RCI. Until they made these changes, Celebrity's loyalty program really suffered in comparison to what RCI was providing their long time guests. Now the positions may have been reversed. Time will tell.:)

I agree with you. I was pleased to see that there is similarity between the two programs now. We love Celebrity, but only cruised with them if the itinerary and price were much better, because we loved the Diamond perks on RCCL. Now, we will be more inclined to switch between the two.

Not at all what I meant, James! I'm sorry you thought that.... I was referring to my post...

Sometimes the website freezes up and it will show the same post you make 2 or 3 times... so instead of everyone reading it again, I went back and edited the second post and put that note there... The website doesn't do it as much as it did a few years ago, but I personally am starting to have problems with it hanging up again... they must be doing some updates to it.

I totally get the fun question... :)

Just back from Majesty and we used almost every coupon:D THere are still the twofers....we had wine for free almost every night of our B2B. We used the casino coupons and the coffee coupons and didn't have to pay to check email because of the internet coupons. Didn't get to Johnny Rockets but we miss the get in free coupons. I would rather have these than nothing. Just the free wine glasses saved us around $24. Of course we had 4 books because of the B2B, but all in all we were happy. Also gave us a free bottle of champagne and fruit plate in stateroom between cruises for doing the B2B. Nice touch. Guess we are easily pleased. But I am curious about after Sept. Since we just made Diamond and are not used to all the good stuff, we probably will be happy anyways.:o

Guess we are easily pleased.

I enjoy being one of those easily pleased people, then I can enjoy the food, the wine choices and the little freebies we get without getting uptight about it. Sure makes for a much more enjoyable vacation.

I agree, jbond. We cruised for almost 20 years with no perks at all: just enjoyed the cruises. So, we are just tickled all kinds of colors to have anything extra.

I'm really not sure... I haven't seen them say either way...

Since we are on Enchantment together at the beginning of the month, I guess we'll find out together. Even though we'll have access to the CL, we should make a point of going to the Diamond Lounge to check it out if nothing else...

I cancelled.

#44 I believe.

That's right; too many people get uptight and let it spoil their vacation over small things that may occur.
