  1. Get a massage. The spa often has discounts on port days.
  2. Highly doubt anyone read past the first couple of paragraphs. It likely went straight into the circular file. Next time keep it short, professional, proof read, and without the emotional baggage. Next time find a TA to manage your booking.
  3. You should ask this on the NCL forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/
  4. Well OP, I hope you feel better after getting all that off your chest. I also hope you realize that your letter won't make one iota of difference. It likely went directly into the circular file. It looks like it is time to expand your horizons and try different lines. Just realize that all of the other mass market lines have been experiencing similar cut backs and price increases. You're going to need to look elsewhere- to the luxury lines.
  5. I have a zippered canvas tote that was a freebie from a Celebrity cruise. It's several years old and has been used on every cruise and resort stay since. Still good as new.
  6. The only acceptable place to post excursion share requests is on your Roll Call. Here's a link to yours: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2803306-koningsdam-18-day-hawaii-cruise-january-31-2023-from-san-diego-round-trip/#comment-61867911
  7. Please clarify, because I don't know why you are asking about Princess if you are on a Celebrity cruise. If you are on X, then just do what you've always done. If you are on Princess, you will need WiFi and print your own using a computer/printer from the Internet Cafe.
  8. The OP made it clear they were asking about getting off the ship at POCs, not final disembarkation. OP, I don't sail on NCL, but my experience with other lines is that the port times listed on the itinerary are for arrival and departure times. Typically (but not always) the gangway will open around 30 minutes after arrival. An announcement will be made at that time. The all aboard time for pax is typically 30 minutes before departure. But it's prudent to be on board well before that.
  9. Agree with Cruiser Bruce. Do your research in advance and pre book any private tours before embarking.Depending on what you want to do, many things can be done as independant DIYs. Have you looked at the Rick Steves Mediterranean Cruise guidebook?
  10. Are you drinking more alcohol than usual? Are you taking any of the common anti nausea OTC meds? Are you a lot more physically active in the evenings? Any unusual stress?
  11. Check the requirements specified by the cruise line. Many require an expiration date more than 6 months after sailing. Just to be safe, you should probably get it renewed ASAP.
  12. Plus, is there even a secure, sheltered, anchorage 1/2 mile out?
  13. This should tell you something- that there is more than motion sickness that is at play. On any modern cruise ship 6-10 foot seas should be barely felt. Hugging the coast (difficult to find cruises that always do this) isn't even a sure fire way to avoid sea motion unless you are sailing in the lee of a large land mass. River cruises OTOH don't usually have the motion issues that ocean cruises encounter. However the interesting ones aren't in North America, so you would be faced with airsickness while flying to your embarkation ports.
  14. You assume wrong. The majority will be from English speaking countries as mentioned. Of course there will be some passengers from other countries, but they will be in the minority. There are cruise lines that promote and cater mainly to European cruisers, although, of course, they will also have pax from some other countries. These include but arent limited to Costa, Aida, TUI, and MSC.
  15. email them at special_needs@celebrity.com. If you check Google, there are links to download their special needs PDF, which you can send them. Speaking with the Maitre d' after embarking is also wise.

  17. No, your RCCL status doesn't transfer to Princess. I found this article with bar menus. Scroll past all the info on alcohol packages if they don't apply: https://cruisingkids.co.uk/princess-cruises-drinks-prices/
  18. By all means, if you think you need an ECV, then rent one. Only you know your limitations, and there is no reason to be exhausted or in pain just getting around the ship. Only someone who hasn't lived with mobility limitations would suggest otherwise. The disability forum may help to answer more of your questions, but the previous comment about renting a narrow ECV to fit through the door of a regular cabin is IMPORTANT.
  19. If you are going to haul this around on your excursions, just to use during times where you have to stand, wouldn't a folding camping stool be both lighter and easier to manage than a full chair?
  20. CARP is another resource to look at for seniors (have to be a member)
  21. Why should the hotel be on the hook for this? Their terms and conditions on refunds or cancellations are clear. This is one of the reasons for trip insurance- to reimburse you for money lost due to covered reasons. The only way you could likely get a reimbursement from the airline is if you booked your hotel through them and the airline cancelled the flight. And there is no way I'd pay the exorbitant rates for a hotel booked thru the cruise line. Not sure the cruise line would cover you in this situation either. Again, that's what trip insurance is for.
  22. OP said the actual winner wasn't there. IIRC, the rules say you need to be present to win. So no winner on that cruise. I've no idea who that kid is, but I'll eat my hat if he's an on duty crew member. There is no way he'd be allowed on duty looking that disheveled and without a name tag. Methinks OP has a bad case of "sore loser". She'd be happy to take a prize to which she knew she wasn't entitled, but will shift blame to the ship Whelen the mistake was found out in time.
  23. Perhaps start by posting on the RCCL subforum?
