  1. It’s not your fault you can’t dress for dinner. I’m sure many others will be in the same boat ( no pun intended). Enjoy your first dinner regardless of your clothes.
  2. Celebrity charge $9.95 for all room service except continental breakfast unless you are in a suite. At least Cunard haven’t gone down that road.
  3. At the moment it’s just optional extras that are chargeable. Time will tell if people are prepared to pay. If they are not taken up then Cunard will have to think again.
  4. Today is the day! Hope those boarding today have an excellent voyage.
  5. Starlink has been installed on the existing queens for a while. Reports seem to be positive.
  6. Chris Frame has done a vlog of a Britannia balcony.
  7. Paul and Carole have done a piece on YouTube of an inside cabin.
  8. Thanks for posting these pictures. I noticed on vlogs in club rooms that they have a coffee machine. Is there one in a Britannia room?
  9. Thanks for posting this. I’m disappointed. I don’t think I will be buying a cheese toastie or a burger at those prices when there are so many included dishes to be found there and elsewhere. Even if it was developed by Michel Roux.
  10. Some of the commentary is decidedly painful. 🤣🤣
  11. There is a section on the Cunard site entitled Introducing Cunard upgrade. There is a button to check if your voyage is eligible.
  12. Doesn’t sound like it will be dominated by Beatles music …… “Experiences will include a burlesque cabaret performance, a seductive cinematic production and a full sensory experience encapsulating smell, taste, feel, sound and light. Step into an ongoing story over the course of your voyage, and navigate the narrative as you choose”
  13. Looking forward to theatre productions, especially after seeing teasers from David Pugh on social media. Disappointed that there are no boxes. From pictures I’ve seen it looks more like our local multi screen cinema - a long thin box. However pictures can be deceptive so I’m excited to find out for myself. My query is that I have seen Cunard post a comment on social media that for some theatre productions you will need to book. Certainly pictures of the theatre show numbering and letters on rows of seats. Bright Lights also has to be booked apparently. Is this normal on Cunard or something new on Anne?
  14. Looking at it the other way round. The smart dress code is one of the reasons we booked Cunard. On our previous line the dress code was very relaxed. While I wasn’t bothered what other people were wearing, I wanted to be in an atmosphere that was a little more formal. Was really pleased when we looked into Cunard and found it to match up to what we were looking for.
  15. We love Cornwall and try to go a few times each year. Next visit is booked for September. Something to look forward to between cruises.
  16. On our last cruise with another line we dressed up for formal night. Me in a long sparkly dress and my other half in tux and bow tie. We were in the minority, although enough people had made the effort so we did not feel out of place. While walking through one of the lounges a lady with a broad smile on her face stopped us. She remarked how lovely it was to see we had both made the effort and admired our clothes. I have no doubt she was 100% genuine, and it made our night.
  17. Just wondering if we could drop off our luggage with the porters, and go into Southampton for a couple of hours, returning at our allotted time for embarkation?
  18. Sadly I can see where Daisy is coming from. I have seen posts here which refer to Britannia guests as riff raff in steerage. I suspect that it was a dubious attempt at humour, but it doesn’t feel like that when you are one of the aforementioned riff raff. The people on these boards are very helpful and generous towards us new to Cunard. However I do get the impression that a very few posters do have a high-low mindset. I choose to ignore posts like that.
  19. There was a sale recently, although I believe this is not something that happens routinely. We had already bought an internet package, so cancelled and bought st the discounted price.
  20. Might it depend on whether the first named is travelling? I don’t think Cunard will change the name of the first named so may not transfer it to the second named passenger.
  21. When I have bought a dining package on another line it was available for any number of nights from 2-7. You could choose which restaurants you dined in. That worked as all the restaurants had a very similar cover charge. In Anne I think it would only work for 4 meals - 1 in each restaurant, due to the very different charges.
  22. Menus and prices for speciality dining as they appear in My Cunard for the May 10 voyage. Sir Samuels dinner $58.50 pp Sir Samuels lunch $31.50 pp Aranya $31.50 pp Tramonto $18.10 pp Aji Wa Pay a la carte $20 deposit to secure a booking, to be taken from the final bill. There are no details at present of a dining package.
