  1. Tramonto sample menu as appeared in My Cunard today
  2. Aranya sample menus as in My Cunard today.
  3. These sample menus appeared in My Cunard today.
  4. We have bought a package, but a big part of our usage will be barista coffees, sparkling water with meals and sodas (particularly if the weather is hot). We plan an occasional cocktail and will have a glass or two of wines with meals. We totted up the amount of these drinks we usually have onboard and it didn’t seem worth paying for the package. However once we add the extra 15% for buy as you go it then became worthwhile.
  5. This image appeared on Cunard Facebook page yesterday.
  6. Totally agree. We only manage one voyage each year. A big part of the fun for me is the planning - especially on a ship new to us. I realise a lot of people just like to get onboard and be surprised and discover what’s available as they go. For us the time onboard is precious, and I don’t want to miss a thing. On this occasion the ship is new to everybody. Info about the possibilities is extremely scarce. This latest email has virtually no new info at all - other than P&P(sort of). Let’s see pictures, menus, insight speakers. Please Cunard feed our excitement and anticipation.
  7. Thank you - of course it is. That will teach me not to rush a post! 🤣
  8. We too have had the email. The announcement of Pride and Prejudice is followed by the words (sort of). I suggest it will be an extremely shortened version.
  9. Alternative Dining is cheaper if you book before you board but this is only available 2-3 weeks before boarding. You cannot use obc until you board. Queen Anne is the only ship with several speciality restaurants, but pricing is not available until nearer the maiden voyage. The current ships only have one speciality restaurant - the verandah which is a steak house. They also have pop ups, but I’m not sure if you can book those before boarding. so far no dining packages are offered by Cunard but this may change when Queen Anne comes into service with a variety of speciality restaurants. We shall have to wait and see.
  10. If you google introducing Cunard upgrade there is a section in the site explaining the upgrade system. There is a button to upgrade, but this only works after you receive the email.
  11. We are also on the same voyage. We plan to dress up whenever we can. It’s the guests who will decide if the overall ambience is the same as other Cunard ships, or whether it will be more casual. Hoping for lots of dressing smart but we shall have to see.
  12. Hoping to hear soon about the pricing for alternative dining on Queen Anne.
  13. I think most of ours will go on the daily gratuity charges.
  14. I too am on the second voyage. When I first booked there was a message on My Cunard that dining could be booked from 3 weeks out - at about the time of checkin. That message disappeared after a few days.
  15. Last time we went through Southampton - the guy checking documents said he was so pleased we had paper docs. The light was shining on screens and he was struggling to see anything.
  16. As stated drink packages include service charges. However if you exceed the max price for a drink while using a package ( currently $13.50) then you are charged the full cost of the drink + 15% service charge less 20% discount ( for having a package).
  17. I cancelled and rebooked online with no problems.
  18. Just watching Landscape artist of the year on Sky arts. Among other buildings in Liverpool they are painting the Cunard building. Love this programme, and its sister programme portrait artist of the year
  19. I know on Celebrity when you make an upgrade bid the strength of the bid increases if you are on a higher tier in their loyalty club. Does the same apply on Cunard - do you have a greater chance of obtaining an upgrade if you are a higher tier in the Cunard World Club?
  20. Looks like she’s now making her way down the Adriatic.
  21. I worked on a hospital ward for many years. There were multiple occasions when norovirus was rife on the ward, it is very contagious. I never once caught it. Sanitizers cannot be relied on, but regular washing hands is the way to go. Always a good idea to carry hand cream as if you are washing properly and often your hands will get very dry and sore.
  22. I notice that afternoon cream tea includes clotted cream. I’m sure I read somewhere that they usually have double cream. Clotted cream would be great.
  23. There is a post on social media stating that QA sea trials start this coming Friday - 2nd February.
  24. That’s how I read it. Perhaps someone who has experienced it could clarify the situation.
