I have just returned home from a brunch at a diner with friends from HS.

I have been in constant touch with one all through college up till now. The other one reached out this past Christmas after almost 40 years of just connecting with  an occasional Christmas card.

It was as if we left each other yesterday!

The conversation flowed, reliving memories of school days and weddings to catching up with our present lives.
We plan to arrange for an overnight hotel stay  in the Spring with, possibly, two more HS friends.

Old friends are the best as we share so much of our early lives with each other.

As we get older, there are fewer people who remember us in our youth.

My friend reaching out was a true blessing!

Hoping everyone is having a pleasant day-feeling safe and loved!

Yes , old friends are to be treasured and celebrated. I have been in contact with old friends, too.  I’ve known two friends for 74 years since kindergarten.  We e-mailed each other this morning. She is working at her polling precinct in New Hampshire today counting write-in votes . Sadly , I had to tell to be careful because you never know .

ABC reported this morning that a company was planning to launch a 3 and a half year cruise .

On Good Morning America and a mention of the RCI World Cruise .

We were given a token $10 in compensation for the loss of CBS on U-Verse .  My friend switched to Cox and is saving $125 / month.  We’ll do something after Jan 1st.

  3. Woe , it is only day 18 out of 274 and things are heating up on the World Cruise according to a post on my f b page .  A couple arguing loudly in the hallway and a woman throwing her husband’s wet clothes out of the washing machine on the floor and at the same time screaming I can’t live with him anymore.  Too much togetherness ?

Rats missed it. Hopefully I can find it online.

So far she’s good but I think the nerve block hasn’t worn off. It will be interesting to see what kind of pain she is in after it wears off.

The Today Show is on at 7:00 AM here on the west coast . There is a  scheduling adjustment. No matter , we haven’t received CBS for the last 3 weeks because our provider can’t reach an agreement with the station owner.

I wouldn’t exactly tell Linda you find what kind of pain she is experiencing interesting.  I hope , she recovers quickly.

So now that we canceled our Beyond sailing we are thinking of taking that money and putting it into some permanent outdoor house lighting not only for Christmas but all year round. It’s from a company called Jellyfish Lighting. It’s all LED programmable and just about every color imaginable. Hers a video. What do you think? It’s not cheap around $3800 but it’s cheaper than what we would spend on our cruise. Either do something like this or just save the money for another cruise. Thoughts?

Take the cash and hire a caregiver for after Linda’s surgery.  You probably already have someone coming in to clean your beautiful home . .

+2    I am not a FB person and would like to find a good sight for the WC info.   I haven't even found the site that Arzeena was talking about the other day.   I was searching a couple last night but didn't find any of real interest yet.

Cruising Around the World in 274 Days . I had posted the link then realized oops can’t do that .

This has to be it . I found it on my fb feed .  Lots of stuff hanging off the walls .

I spotted a couple in that photo who we shared a table on a cruise a few years ago. Gary keeps up with them on fb and we met them when they were in London

I’m sure they’ll have lots to post on f b .  I keep in touch with a couple we met ten years ago on a cruise . Their son was stationed here and we had him over for dinner. It’s a small world.

I enjoy your pics of the U.K. . Lucky you to live in such a great location.

Those are all great calls.  I’ll add the Marine Biologist episode.

    And can’t forget.. “ IT MOVED!!”  😂

I must have watched every episode 10 times over at this point.  Never gets old for me.

The last two episodes summed it up.  Everyone showed up in court to air their grievances against those four and at the end they are sentenced to jail for not lending aid.  We last see these four shallow , self absorbed, egocentric individuals forced to spend time with only themselves for company.  That’s my take on the last show.

I like the show and I too have seen many reruns.  I’ve seen Seinfeld perform four times and with Jason Alexander , once.  I’ve watched Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.  The episode of him driving President Obama on the White House grounds was really funny.

There was an actual Peterman catalog which I would get in the mail.

What do you think of the last episode? It didn’t go over well with the viewers.

Going back to the shingles conversation, is it possible to have a mild case of shingles? About 7 or 8 years ago, I had a weird looking rash on my right side rib cage, a long ugly looking strip.  Didn't itch or hurt but after some prodding from family, I went to my doctor & as soon as he looked at it said "Yep, you have Shingles". Gave a prescription and within a week or two, it was gone. Never even got the pain medicine prescription filled as it there was no pain or itchiness.

I also don't remember having chicken pox as a child but apparently I must've.

I had huge blisters on my forehead which was diagnosed as shingles. It wasn’t painful and it didn’t itch.  I was told to isolate until it cleared up.
