  1. We are on the same cruise, and have not received a notice for a required test. After your post, I looked this up, just in case. I found this web site, which might help: https://furtherpass.com/clinics/argentina/buenos-aires
  2. I made the change for a SS cruise we are taking in Aug 23. I had booked through SilverSea and called the agent that I had originally booked the D2D with. It was no problem at all - however, we did lose our OBC which was for D2D only, and not P2P.
  3. I decided to change a "free" shore excursion for a different "free" shore excursion. I can't seem to find a way to do that on the web site. Do I HAVE to call Regent to make that change? Thanks in advance.
  4. If my connection in LHR is 2 hours or less, I always make sure there is a later flight to my destination - preferably, two later flights. Even then, always fly in at least one day before your cruise.
  5. Oooops! My bad!!! I just looked and it is for the Spa Serene area - which the Venture also doesn't have. Sorry for the confusion. It was a senior moment.
  6. I'm currently Gold. It is a benefit under preferences, and just for one day.
  7. That is why the boat is called the "Wind."
  8. Seabourn still offers a day in the Retreat for one of my benefits on our Venture Cruise to Antarctica this December. You are right - not only does the Venture not have a Retreat - sitting outside all day in sub-freezing temps probably wouldn't be much fun even if it had that feature. It would be nice if they came up with another option.
  9. THANKS! For sure - I won't pack binoculars. Since YBMV, I better pack one.
  10. My husband and I will be on the Holiday Antarctic Cruise this December. I have two questions: 1) Are there binoculars in the cabins? 2) Do I pack beanies? Some of the Artic cruisers said they got beanies, but in my paperwork it doesn't say they are included. I'm trying to keep luggage to a minimum, and even though beanies don't take up much room, it's still something. Thanks for your help. I will probably have more questions.
  11. Thank you for your response. I work directly with Regent. I just received approval yesterday by e-mail, with no upgrade charges - just the deviation fee. It was worth it to me to have seats, have the opportunity to change seats (I'm kind of picky where I sit) and have an air program that meets my needs (layovers, segments, etc.) I will probably do this again on future cruises.
  12. I'm at 16 business days and still haven't heard anything. This is my first time to request an air deviation. How exactly is one informed as to approval/disapproval?
  13. Usually 1/2 hour for passengers, 1 hour for staff.
  14. We are on the Venture over the Holidays in December down in Antarctica. I know ships don't generally make unnecessary announcements, but since this is an expedition cruise, do they make a ship wide announcement when there are animals spotted? I don't care if I'm even taking an afternoon siesta - I want to see wildlife. If I'm on the port side and 50 whales are spotted on the starboard side - I want to know about it. Okay - I made my point. Now, what is the policy? Thanks.
  15. Thank you so much for responding. I won't count on that perk - even though it is listed for our Antarctica Cruise. I do wish they had more options. Thanks again.
  16. Our last pre-covid cruise was on Regent which was over Christmas and New Year's. The decorations were up and I know that everything looked lovely and in the holiday spirit, including a Menorah with a nightly lighting during Hanukkuh. I wish I could help you out, but I honestly can't remember what they did (other than a balloon drop at mid-night.) I'm really not that old, so I'm going to say that all the champagne must have clouded things a bit. I just know "it" was very nice whatever "it" was.
  17. Does the Venture have a serene area in the spa? I'm considering changing my benefit preferences. Thanks!
  18. WOW! Just this morning, my husband and I were discussing whether to let the cruise line book our airfare, or do our own thing. Something like this makes me lean toward letting the cruise company take of it.
  19. If somebody else is cooking my meals, doing my laundry, making my bed, cleaning the bathroom and keeping my glass full of champagne, I'm happy as a clam. On Regent, those things are done with class, elegance, and style. You won't hear me complain.
  20. molymoo had mentioned she was in a PJS. That was the category I was wondering about as to what kind of alcohol was in the mini-bar. Perhaps I read it wrong, but I was thinking the alcohol in the mini-bar was included at the PJS level.
  21. I have not been on Viking.........yet. What kind of alcohol is in the mini-fridge? It is included, correct? Thank you.
