  1. We’re staying at Hyatt Place on 91 sw 18th ave dania beach price is reasonable, good reviews, nearby places to eat.
  2. You are selecting arrival time 16 days out, not boarding time. Boarding begins when they are ready, and can vary a lot. Average is probably around 11am.
  3. Are they accepting OBC requests for August 2023 yet?
  4. We'll be there in July. Thanks for the review!
  5. I thought emerald was only doing carribbean sailings until June 19th.
  6. Easiest will probably be cruise line transfer. Not the most economical, though.
  7. Last time we cruised with Carnival, they no longer left paper copies of Fun Times in your cabin, but they were available to pick up by guest services. Are they still there for people to pick up for those who want paper copies? Or, is it digital only?
  8. We're planning on going to De Palm island.
  9. Anyone hear anything (good or bad) about break-ins at the Erato St garage?
  10. I think changing the family suites from cove balcony on vista class to oceanview is a big downgrade, but the prices I bet do not reflect this. Also, I think lots of people get confused, as they kept the category name the same, but they really shouldn't be the same name.
  11. It was printed last time we cruised carnival... in 2018. They were available outside the kids club to grab a copy. I'd like to know the answer to this one also.
  12. Pac Man is live, and I won 100 points! It's cruise themed also... like they know we're the ones going to play it! Tip: I didn't really try to eat the "ghosts" (you'll see why that's in quotes), so only got about five of them. Maybe that's why only 100 points? Edited to add: You can play for points more than once! Just played again, won another 100 points. Score: 3600. I wonder if you can win more than 100 points?
  13. Our first experience with Club Ocean was when our youngest was 2. They do divide by age group, but sometimes combine groups when there are low numbers. We have found supervision to be excellent. Our kids really liked the staff. They have both open play and supervised activities, sometimes at the same time, and the kids can pick if they want to do the activity, or something else. Supervised activities are on a schedule you'll have, so that can help in figuring out when she might want to go to the club. You can check in at any time. Parents are not allowed in the play area, but you can peek in at any time to check on her. We've done this, almost always without our son even knowing we came by.
  14. Assigned. Just like dinner, you may have a private table or groups with others. Of course, you can always ask if you have a preference.
  15. We told the kids that if they ordered the cold soups, that would be their desserts for the day. They ordered the soups anyway. * We weren't serious, just curious if they loved the soups that much. Apparently, they do. I think they enjoyed the bitter and blanc afterwards that night, so they still had room left!
  16. Does AARP require a membership to purchase Carnival gift cards?
  17. Below the theater you will hear when there is a show or rehearsal going on.
  18. So we know where Enchanted will be summer 2024... but anyone have info on Emerald?

  20. We went to Playa Mia in 2015 and really enjoyed it. We are considering going again this coming summer (can't believe it's been 8 years!) Very clean and friendly. Was not crowded at all (actually, very low number of people, we practically had the place to ourselves). We did not try the food, only had a snack (wasn't a very long port day). Kids loved the inflatables and included non-motorized water craft. Very nice list of included amenities. And the price is a lot less than the other beach club/resorts.
  21. Thanks! Do you know what Emerald is doing starting June 19?
  22. Any chance you could copy paste the schedule here? I couldn't find it
  23. We're waiting for the rest of summer 2024 also. It has to be either Emerald or Enchanted; those are the two ships whose schedules are not out yet. And, both are in Ft. Lauderdale per the last cruise on their schedules. Maybe one will take a Panama canal crossing and do the CA trips for the summer (like Emerald is doing summer 2023), while the other does Caribbean/NE trips, like Caribbean princess is doing summer 2023? I'm hoping to get a look at the schedules prior to being on sale.
