  1. I’ve cruised on Riviera twice this year. In April and June. Both were great. Not discounting others experiences but ours were fine.
  2. Good information in this post. It bears reading twice.
  3. Actually we were scheduled in April on the Riviera to go to Bermuda. It actually wound up not going, we went to Jacksonville Fl instead, for an overnight, then we went to Charleston. . We also went to Bermuda on Regatta a few years ago in April, so it’s not always in September.
  4. Congratulations on making Bronze, Silver is knocking, free grats.
  5. I'm thinking someone should need to have a talk with the GM and get an understanding of the way mid and upper level cruise lines operate. This is the kind of classless stuff you see at All Inclusive resorts. There is a certain mindset that simply doesn't realize this is not acceptable. They think it's the way things operate. No wonder everything is in such a mess.
  6. I don't think there is a special menu that night, but there might be, after 2 1/2 hours or so of free drinks I never remember what's on the menu.
  7. Please, let's not do this all over again.
  8. Yep, or pretty much any hotel buffet or just about any breakfast buffet in general. Definitely not just Oceania.
  9. Some people just don't want to or can't handle the luggage along with traveling. Air travel is difficult anymore, even for the young and healthy. Add on top of that mobility issues or just being older and weaker than we once were. I just went on Medicare and I'm nowhere near as strong and energetic as I was 10 years ago. And I still consider myself fairly young and capable. I don't ship my luggage but certainly understand why some people do.
  10. Yes, you definitely have to ask for fresh scrambled eggs. Invariably it's almost impossible to get the good ones when you order in the MDR. I've pretty much quit frustrating myself and have stopped ordering them anywhere except The Terrace where I can actually see the fresh ones go in the pan. I'm a big fan of scrambled eggs. That stuff sitting in the pan is swill.
  11. I believe that is if you pay for it.
  12. I was on a similar cruise at the same time and it was on Marina. We overnighted at Bordeaux.
  13. This is interesting. Did both of you upgrade? If so were you both planning on upgrading?
  14. I guess I've never had the pleasure, he must be new in the last couple of years.
  15. Nice to see a review from someone that "gets it". Glad that you're having a good time. Hope it keeps up your whole cruise. Please keep us updated.
  16. I'm just curious why you waited 7 or 8 months to let us know this vital information.
  17. I wouldn't put too much stock in what someone has posted about boarding time going by cabin class. Going on almost 30 Oceania cruises and haven't really seen that to be the case. I pretty much show up when I want to and get in line and check in. NOW, on the other hand, actually having your room ready is by Cabin Class, Top Suites first, PH, then on down. Most rooms are generally ready by 3.
  18. So which cruise director are we talking about?
  19. I'm assuming that was a typo and you meant Scapa Flow. I was there this summer and enjoyed our time there. I'm no historian, but love military history and related places. Enjoyed the Italian chapel there.
  20. Personally I'd like to see Oceania spend the time and money getting back to what they do best, instead of trying to keep up with mass market gimmicks. Yes, I use apps all the time, most of them are poorly done and tend to waste more time than the way things used to be.
  21. Was this a policy on Oceania on a cruise you left out of Miami before?
  22. Have you checked on the app? That's what people on Celebrity do.
  23. Where is this idea of a price limit coming from? Mentioning it like it's something happening, which it's not, only serves to add more confusion. This is not MZ's site where every other post is incorrect information. Let's not turn it into that.
