  1. I can tell you this from firsthand experience. My wife actually won, they called her name as we were leaving the ship. We had a zero balance. That's exactly what we got, zero.
  2. You've given excellent advice to the OP to check the price difference. I haven't cruised Celebrity in about a year, but historically the difference in a one or two category difference, especially in the same type of room has been $40-$100. Perhaps the OP could check the difference and let us know.
  3. Hit the nail on the head. I don't believe people are doing this type of thing just to be annoying, I think there are all kinds of people running around that don't have a clue. I see it in all age groups. I was at a Dr's office the other day and this guy is sitting there with his news program at full blast going on about the day's politics. Not saying what channel he was watching, but it's 3 letters. 🙃
  4. Answers are always found in the Details.
  5. I'm with the group that wants it cleared. If I'm done I want that dirty stuff out of my way. No rush to leave, I just don't like dirty dishes in front of me.
  6. I want some of that Ballantine's Finest Scotch. MMM
  7. To switch to Simply More it doesn't matter. To get the Summer Sale prices might be a different situation.
  8. Are you wowing over the T & C? It's been that way for a long time. Nothing new there.
  9. You would think, BUT, make sure your cruise is not on the Summer Sale. I had the Ultimate promo also, and Simply More is hands down a better deal for me. We're talking thousands, not hundreds. I still have everything I had before and more, at a much better price.
  10. This, or you can do it logged in, just get off your booking. They changed this a few weeks or months ago. It's different now.
  11. I asked my Dr a few months ago and he told me in our state it's not prescribed unless you have a verified case.
  12. Hi Tia, if this is important to you then you might want to make sure you cancel before the penalty phase sets in. Everything you said is pretty much the way Oceania is. Breakfast in the Terrace depends on whether it's a port or sea day, and what time they dock or anchor. Usually between 6-7 am opening and closing around 10am. GDR will be between 7-8am and close around 9:30 depending on opening time. As Lyn said, Waves is open a little later, and you can eat there in the afternoon. They have burgers and hot dogs, and a few other sandwiches. I haven't been on Princess in over 20 years, they were a one and done with me, but I somehow doubt their grill would be as good as Oceania, but if you don't want a burger or similar then you'll be very unhappy. The Terrace is usually open for lunch between 11:30-2. The only 24 hour food availability is room service. Oceania is a whole different mindset than mass market lines. It's not for everyone.
  13. I've taken 4 cruises since Sept of 22. One of them was on Oasis, 5-6k people, the other 3 were on Oceania. As far as I know we haven't caught Covid on any of them. Did come home with a nasty cold on the last cruise about 3-4 weeks ago, but test said negative. So, we've cruised multiple times and come out basically unscathed. We are up to date on all boosters, just had the third one(second biavalent) a few days before our last cruise.
  14. As far as I can remember "washy washy" has never a part of Oceania culture. Perhaps you're thinking of Princess or Carnival.
  15. Just a reminder to check to see if your booked cruise or cruises is on the Summer Sale list. Long story short, I changed an onboard booking with the Ultimate Olife perks to Simply More with the summer sale pricing and came out WAY ahead. I still have all the excursions I had booked (8 each), the basic drink package, & 2 wifi accts. Real happy with the outcome. This is worth your time.
  16. No, this was in Sept. From Amsterdam to Lisbon. Just great.
  17. I went on a tour from St Malo to Mont Ste Michele in 2019 on Marina, so I know they've done it in the past. I also went to Omaha Beach with Overlord tours and would join in on the positive recommendations.
  18. Being from Missouri, I always point out two things for the UH crowd, I've never heard of the MississippUH river nor have I been to HawaUH. I have heard Australia pronounced many times without the I as well as Julia. I'll bet Julia has been called Julya more than a few times. Interesting the way JR says it, maybe one of the sweeping changes he's bringing in.
  19. One we have had perks from in the past is Travel Leaders Distinctive Voyages.
  20. This was worked out long ago here, no need to figure it out again. It has to do with P & O already having a ship called Oceana. I don't know if you've noticed but they say a lot of things differently in GB. I pay it no mind.
