  1. I’ll see what I can find out about the schedule. One thing I noticed new in the room. The closet light now has a proximity sensor, when the door is open and you are close to it the light comes on. It used to be tied to the door being opened. we just docked in Nassau.
  2. It just worked out that way, we had a balcony guarantee, this is what we got, the wife loves a tub, so I’m happy. Actually room is great. B4
  3. FYI -The porter did hit us up for a tip when we dropped our bags off.
  4. You’ll start to see why I don’t post many pictures.
  5. Here’s some stuff people might be interested in.
  6. I forgot to mention I did like this flavor of HS, which I didn’t have in September.
  7. Just had Humphry Slocombe After School Special. Vanilla with chocolate covered potato chips and caramel swirl. Pictures of chairs in martinis and new carpet going into GDR.
  8. New chairs and carpet in Horizons. Material is a leather like vinyl. Pretty nice.
  9. That is the Gabriel Hilton on Biscayne. If you are there more than one day they have an hourly shuttle to their property on SB. We really liked it but it is noisy.
  10. First update. We won’t be going to Bermuda due to forecasted weather. We have added Great Stirrup Cay and Jacksonville. As I’ve been to Bermuda a few times I’m not upset. Others might be.
  11. I looked up capacity earlier on the Virgin ships and it 2750 passengers. There was one there yesterday that left last night.
  12. Thar she sits waiting on us.
  13. When we were here in January we ate at Joes Stone Crab on South Beach. It was fantastic. I’ve been watching the ships roll in since about 5 this morning, which where I’m from is actually 4, but yesterday was 3. Not sure why I’m awake so early, but we did go to bed early. Don’t forget last night was DST clock changing time. Riviera is sitting over in J waiting for us. Anyone else on this cruise feel free to post on this thread also as Gary is looking for observations about Riviera from those old or new to Oceania.
  14. 50 something cruises over the years and the only time we ever had an issue was on Celebrity and they saw my Swiss Army cigar cutter on the scan, just had to open it in front of them and then no issues.
  15. Walked down to Bayside, it started pouring rain, had to have a second drink to wait out the storm. The World Classic Baseball tournament started here today and this area is packed.
  16. We’re in Miami, looking off our balcony at some Regent ship docked at Terminal J. Weather is great here. Spent a couple of hours messing around the Brickell area, which we had never done before. I never worry about posting the details of my flights here and hotel stuff. We’ve been here since yesterday and are lucky to just be here due to flight delays, but it all worked out. Probably won’t post anything else till tomorrow.
  17. Well, Waves is mixed, most things you order at the counter and they bring them to your table. They have some items that are self serve.
  18. Luminae is the suite only restaurant on Celebrity. Nothing like that on Oceania.
  19. Did you miss the memo that Oceania will be losing many of their loyal customers due to age? It will equal out.
  20. If you really think the corkage fee is for opening the bottle it's easy to understand why you think it's high. Not picking on you, but it's not about opening the bottle.
  21. You have a good point and observation here. Also throw in the mix the cruisers previous experiences and what lines they've sailed on. Someone that has only cruised Carnival, Princess, NCL, Royal(not that there's anything wrong with that) is going to have a different perspective than those that have cruised Regent, Silversea, Seabourne, Crystal, etc.
  22. We'll board Riviera Sunday. I'll try to do a few live from posts, but I don't promise much. I only take an ipad with me, don't really take many pictures, and don't really won't to worry about attaching them to CC. But I'll try, and give you my opinion as to the current state of affairs vs the last time I was on her in Dec of 19.
  23. That's an interesting question. In advance probably technically no, but in past experience when you get to your room there will be an envelope with your tickets in them. If you give those tickets to someone else, then they show up with them for the tour there should be no problem. I've had someone give me tickets in the past and there was no issue.
