  1. I don't really have any answers to the questions as I haven't been in the new set up yet. We should get our first look at it on the cruise after yours, if that's the 12th. We've always had plenty of drawer & shelf storage space on Riviera and Marina, so you should be ok.
  2. This has always been an issue with these rooms. Seems we've been able to overcome them. The robes are one of the first things to go. Yes, they are space hogs. Then the life jackets go under the bed. Appreciate the A/B bathroom pics.
  3. Same here, oddly enough we have a friend named David, that has been on a few Celebrity cruises with us. I use his email and password for a couple of newspapers and a couple of other things. At first I thought it was some kind of cookie thing.
  4. One caveat to this, and it is rare, but I have been on a cruise before that once you check in they don't allow you to get off again. This was in Sydney. I don't know what the rules were B2Bers.
  5. Glad you straightened that out as some of the wording could leave the wrong impression. Was going to do it myself, but you took care of it.
  6. I have a free night at any Hilton, no exclusions. Staying at the Gabriel to see what it's like on the 11th. It's also convenient to Bayside and the Metro mover, I'm going to check out shopping and food in the Brickell area as we've never made it there. Having stayed at the Intercontinental before would join in with the positive recs for it. Depending on when my flight gets in our usual MO is to stay close to the airport and Uber to the cruise port. But with the crazy flight prices it's almost cheaper to grab a room on the front and back of the cruise, depending on what day of the week they leave and comeback on. It helps to have those free rooms.
  7. Yes, they do, it's called your suite. FYI, the Presidents Circle in the Oceania Club get the Premium package. I think that kicks in at 60 Cruises.
  8. That would be pretty much a never except for those on a B2B
  9. I know this is an old thread but didn't want to start a new one for this. For those of you that keep up with these offers My Amex Everyday card just came out with an offer for 5 Membership Points for every dollar spent with Oceania up to 50,000 points. I'm sure there will be variations on it depending on the card. I've got a final payment coming up in a couple of weeks. One thing I learned recently is that even if you don't plan on using the offer right away make sure you go ahead and add it to your card, as it might disappear before the expiration date for the offer.
  10. I know what you're saying here Gary, but the same thinking can be extended to those that decide to have Oceania book their hotels. It's certainly convenient, but in no way a deal. Not something I'd ever do though. Yet I will buy a drink package. Then on the other hand I probably drink more than I should.
  11. I hope you enjoy Oceania, but what you've described about Cunard is exactly what Oceania is not all about.
  12. Make sure that you choose "Dine with another Booked Party". There is also the option of "Share My Table with other Guests", which makes about as much sense, but it's not the one you want.
  13. Something is kicking in the back of my mind that the Mermaid is their new alcohol free Gin they introduced a few months ago that the CC host Chris did a live about. I think it's in conjunction with the Vista coming on line. Or I could be thinking of something else, I'm still a little bedazzled by that Houndstooth carpet. Don't think I've ever seen that on a carpet before.
  14. The last time I was in one, which was 3 or 4 years ago at least there wasn't. I somehow don't think they took a backward step in technology with the update. I just take a small bluetooth speaker and play songs from my phone. I don't know if they still have it, but when the Marina and Riviera were new, in the Oceania, Vista and Owner's Suites they had a dock for an Ipod, which was the old-style, wide plug Apple used prior to the Lightning plug. Then you could pipe music from your Ipod or Iphone through the sound system in the room. If they are still there, in order to use them you would need an adapter(which I have one) to use with an Iphone as that style plug hasn't been used since the Apple 4 or 5 model. Basically real outdated technology. But I digress, the answer to your question is no.
  15. A couple of days ago the Celebrity offer came back on my Everyday card for 17,500 membership points at the same time I found out I have to have an unplanned surgery Monday, which means I have to cancel the BCC cruise I was going on a week from tomorrow that I was going to buy $500 worth of OBC for. Oh well. I was flying on miles, staying in the room on points and the cruise was free. At least I'm not losing a bunch on the deal. I guess I'm glad I found out about the surgery before I spent the $500.
  16. I just now figured out that atm was for at the moment. I thought it was some kind of automated teller machine that dispenses cigarettes.
  17. You may not like it, but overalls are quite acceptable under the currently dress code in the Terrace in the evening. Not that I'll be in them, and it's not the usual style of dress you see on Oceania. But I don't think they're going to kick anyone out for them.
  18. My question is for you. Who are you and where to you fit in all this? Are you a Cruise Critic employee?
  19. Maybe it’s just my taste, and I grew up in the sticks and ate a lot of weird stuff and wild game, but I just can’t find that appealing.
  20. Gabriel was the GM as far back as September when we were on there. Don't know how long he'd been in that position.
  21. Are there drinks still available at the morning Elite breakfast? I think there used to be mimosa or Bloody Mary.
  22. Nope, we couldn't apply it to gratuity in Sept.
  23. Isn't that crazy. Maybe it was all that Oban that Robjame and Shepherd Really drank. That made them re-evaluate their pricing.
  24. I think we have some members that got the free cruise after 3 or 4 cruises. Of course one of those was a World Cruise.
