Ya know, when I look at my reservation, it does look like it would be the original $50 discount, plus the additional $50 discount, plus the Lat. 15% discount for excursions, doesn't it? That would make a huge difference in cost especially for the tours in EU. Of course I could be wrong but it would be nice. lol

I offer for someone to share a dinner, Sapphire now, on almost every cruise. That's 1 add'l person, and it always goes over well without a hitch. I did this time on the Escape and was only charged $15 for the extra glass of wine.

IMO, I'd say that is too short a layover.

I only got texts from friends about the accident, so some of my info could wrong, my apologies. As far as the cruise line workers go, they were upset to hear about the death and at that time they didn't know who was affected.

Certainly not in my case and even if it did, I'd accept it! ! Cabin care is priority.

@graphicguy, it doesn't matter though, does it, we love them so much we'd do anything to make their life better. My sons, 1 of my own and , 6 step sons, are the best. I do love my pets but, all past sadly, my kids are the best. Cheers

I had a great cruise thanks to the staff and crew. I boarded the Escape on June 25th, I can't even image the trauma suffered by the crew, the staff, the officers and those passengers still on the ship. Image what the crew must have gone threw just trying to get settled enough to go forward with their work for those of us to board the ship after going through to tragedy of losing a port worker and the injury of another. My hope is that the cruise lines, those who benefit greatly from the hard work of the port of Miami workers, will in some way, assist the families of those affected in the tragic accident. God Bless all those affected.

You're correct, it is as if there are 2 even if sailing solo. I always book my own hotel if I'm deviating.

I know it looks like prices are out of control but really, everything is up and out of control. Consider though what the cruise lines have had to endure. No passengers, their "bread and butter" totally missing, plus they still had to pay for their ships, maintenance, new builds, lots of expenses. Yes, costs are high.

I agree with you completely. There is no better way to ensure you won't enjoy yourself than assuming you won't enjoy yourself from the beginning. Just why bother? If I try hard enough, I can always find fault somewhere along the line... I guess.

We, as Canadians, are really more like US citizens than UK citizens so yes, our deposits are refundable as long as it's done prior to full payment due date. And that only refers to financing our cruises, nothing more. lol

I love longer cruises and TAs are my favourites but did a B2B in 2015 which was wonderful. BI > TA. So, for me, I'd be very interested in your review. I know how well you plan, TIA!

I wouldn't even have posted anything about this, it would have been gone!! However, there are others who might have considered it a more than acceptable cruise to replace the wonderful looking, mostly Irish cruise, desirable. To each his/her own.

If I'm in a balcony I don't go anywhere to get a cup of coffee to enjoy on my balcony, I make it! There should be a coffee maker somewhere in your cabin with free coffee ingredients, coffee, sugar, cream. If it's not visible, check out the top shelf in your closet or 1 of the other storage areas and enjoy.

No, they don't post the MDR menus, just the specialty menus and they might be just samples; however, I've always found them to be fairly accurate when it's time to order. Enjoy.

Sorry you found the cruise inadequate, really. We all or many of us have our favourite cruise lines and that's okay, we can't possibly all like/love the same line, same ship, same captain.... same anything really.

If you are or have a tendency to be sea sick, I'd stay away from forward facing cabins. Aft facing can be a bit better but not always. I love the motion of the ocean but not everyone does. Good luck.
