  1. Didn’t happen on grandeur with Stefane on board
  2. lol. Great meeting both of u. We will stay in touch for sure
  3. Disembarking early tomorrow your ta can find out
  4. They look smaller on the deck plans
  5. Great decision. Our first cruise was 10 day society island. The second cruise was an itinerary they do once a year ; 14 night Papeete to Fiji. Both amazing. Enjoy
  6. I had a thread on VPNs when I was on moon in July. Nord did not work a very techie cruiser told me that vyprvpn would work. I cannot give u the technical reason but it worked. I signed up for a month you might find the thread if you search for Vypr found the thread but can’t post link just search for vypr. It’s thete
  7. Hope you chose Paul Gauguin. Gold standard for French Polynesia. I’ve done it twice. Highly recommend
  8. I am on day 27 (I think lost count) on grandeur I am no cheerleader for regent or any cruise line. I also sail seabourn and silversea. Was a crystal regular before the “deception” and i have 15 cruises on Oceania. I’ve been on queen mary, Paul Gauguin, azamara. Celebrity and others. imo this is one of the best cruises I’ve been on. Not for the ports. We have been almost everywhere. I chose this long cruise for the ship and I was not disappointed Great service. Wonderful food excellent enrichment and entertainment. And lots of fun on board too. County fairs, bridge and other activities We’ve made some new cruise friends was it perfect? No. I had a really bad meal in chartreuse. Do I care? No. I spoke to chef because it’s the way I operate I think my standards are pretty high. Just my opinion
  9. Some want 2 loungers others must have table and 2 chairs apparently table two chairs and 2 loungers not going to fit impossible for regent to please everyone and they are surely not going to keep changing balcony furniture 😁
  10. I will be on whisper in March and muse in June. Ray next year. I love the line but those who are disappointed can help us all by carefully documenting the issues and trying to resolve on board. If not let the powers that be know. They want to make it better. Imo the right approach is not to approach as a complainer but as someone who expects to cruise again on the line and wants a great experience. That’s a win win
  11. To say that every cruise is different is an understatement. I was on the same luxury ship 4 months apart. First cruise was fabulous: second a disaster i wrote to the cruise line execs with a detailed description of the issues and the names of every person on board I discussed the issues with. Not only were they appreciative, but they unexpectedly gave me a 4000 fcc that I could apply to an existing booking. My ta said “unheard of.” I did not ask for anything or expect anything. I just wanted my next cruise to be better as I have several cruises booked with that same line. I think it was a one-off. I never complained on cc. Wasn’t going to solve the problems and others on board might have felt differently or had different expectations if you have a really bad experience on a cruise line you have previously enjoyed I recommend that you speak with as many execs on board possible, document the discussions and later write to the top brass
  12. I did not ask. But the folks who pick out furniture have never taken a cruise. Eg in the grandeur suites the round night table has a 14 inch circumference and the lamp on it an 11 inch circumference. Table is unusable. The draws are so tiny they might hold one small paperback book. Design over function
  13. On their Facebook page anything negative is deleted. On the cc page some diehards feel no other cruise lines can be mentioned or praised and a few will try to get your posts deleted. There has been some success in that area Crystal is never to blame for anything and everything is always perfect. Crew is better than any other crew. lol. Food is always better. 🤮 many of these posters never sail any other line. the ships are not sailing full.
  14. Here is reason for absence of lounge chairs on balcony spoke to franck when there was one lounge chair folks complained that they wanted 2. No room instead there are 2 reclinin g chairs that recline 80 degrees this change was made because passengers wanted 2 chairs that reclined
  15. Same on Grandeur. Twice fabulous spread. No illness
  16. Huge difference look how many on these threads are criticizing aspects of regent specialty restaurants, chair hog policy, lack of loungers on some balconies, shorex and more there is bias but there is balance not on crystal boards. they do not like you to praise other cruise lines or criticize crystal i speak from years of experience
  17. There may be a bit of bias in those posts. Caveat emptor
  18. I am an attorney it is not about a legal issue they just don’t want to be responsible. “you removed my stuff and my gold watch was in my tote bag”.
  19. I am guessing you can request one once on board. we are in a suite with a huge balcony. We rarely use it because we prefer a more social atmosphere at the pool. Food and drink services are available. Not sure more chaises on balconies will make much of a difference.
  20. The cruise line will never punish paying guests
  21. My impression from my discussion with Franck was that he does not think there is a solution. “Happens everywhere”
  22. This has to be a corporate decision. I don’t think any gm can create a policy on his/her own
