  1. Next is Panama Canal. My 6th time. Much much older demographic. Similar to transatlantic. More sea days
  2. Many more 30s and 40s than I would have imagined. Some 50s. And the rest of us. It is always different in a 7 day Caribbean. Attracts people who work and those who want to try a luxury line at a more affordable price point. Many first time regent cruisers on board I’m guessing the zip line tours are filled up. lol
  3. Hmm. We are on regent now in Caribbean and our Panama Canal leg starts on December 21. This news makes me wonder if we will be going
  4. We will be in 1015 we were in a grand suite on splendor a few years back because splendor suite was not available. Grand suite too big but we’ll suffer lol
  5. There has been one other issue but it is being resolved. In a handful of suites there was a loud banging noise when ship was sailing. I did not experience it on the crossing. Others did and some people changed cabins. After the 5 day break for the christening, for the next 2 legs we moved to a different suite. Noise was horrible. They finally figured it out. They had to remove bedroom ceiling panel to find the problem For my “inconvenience” they are moving me from a grandeur suite to a grand suite for the Panama Canal leg. I said I would only move if I could keep my wonderful butler !! They agreed
  6. I will contact you when I get home. I’m on board until early January
  7. It hasn’t. The barista Gennaro is wonderful
  8. We had Denver as our server on Splendor. We loved him
  9. The info you get from a good ta is generally better than cc. Some info on cc is inaccurate
  10. It is way too complicated to explain in post on cc. I am happy to help you when I get home if you will give me your email. Then we can exchange phone numbers.
  11. A good ta can explain all of this to you and guide you through the process
  12. The demographic on a 7 night Caribbean cruise is very different from a longer cruise on regent. The crossing had an older crowd with the vast majority being long time regent cruisers. That was the original inaugural so folks with regent loyalty were able to book the ship first this cruise has a younger crowd with many first time regent cruisers. The feel is very different. Not better or worse — just different
  13. You will get comment card by day 3 and a request to do digital survey at end of cruise. Be sure to mention by name crew members who were especially helpful
  14. It was only because of all the steps I took while on board to address the problems writing after and doing nothing to resolve the issue on board is a waste of time
  15. Always talk to someone on board. They want to make it right. Posting your complaints on cc won’t lead to any improvement. Regent is incredibly responsive. As the other poster said, I see no difference between this cruise and the crossing other than the 7- day Caribbean cruise demographic. lol perfection. Imo. Everyone’s experience can be different But sometimes they don’t. I love this story on a recent silversea b2b cruise I had the worst experience and we love silversea. I talked to everyone from the f&b guy exec chef and 2 different gms. Nothing got better. I had been on the same ship 6 months before and it was fabulous. I never posted on cc. When I got home my ta gave me emails of 2 top execs. I wrote a detailed chronology of all the issues and everyperson I spoke to. It was a very specific chronology Wow. They were very grateful. I was not expecting anything. I have 3 more ss cruises booked and wanted them to be as I expected they gave me a huge fcc (thousands) and I could apply to existing booking. I was shocked. I will be on ss again in March
  16. I was on this ship for the crossing and on again now. We must be in different ships i have experienced nothing but perfection in every respect
  17. In terms of taking care of passengers, my husband has mobility issues. In the recent grandeur crossing the crew virtually held onto him when the ship was rocking so he would not fall we have had so many acts of extreme kindness from crew on regent ss and seabourn it is not unique to crystal
  18. the crew on regent and silversea are family too. there is no discernible difference same with passengers identical demographic
  19. we are on the new grandeur b2b2b. fabulous lecturers and entertainment. great music everywhere. fabulous cruise director. outstanding food and service best ship i’ve ever been on. could not ask for more i agree with stickman 1000%
  20. My ta has sailed on every cruise line. it took me 20 plus cruises before I tried regent I do not have status and I also sail silversea and seabourn. We are still itinerary driven from time to time but I do agree. Regent is the best of them
