On grandeur it is not an issue with every cabin. Problem is you won’t know until you get there

I started out in cabins without verandahs

Two different grandeur suites and one grand suite. All midship. Decks 9 and 10. Might be size of suite but I know many many passengers had the issue

The cabin soundproofing issue is also a problem on Oceania’s new build. Same parent company. Same shipyard. This can only be corrected at dry dock i was on the grandeur for 3 cruises starting Nov 24. 3 different suites. No soundproofing issues. btw. I thought grandeur was fabulous. I booked 4 more cruises booked on her

The best way to find a great agent is to ask people once you are on a cruise. I have a fabulous agent. I carry his cards with me and give them out. My agent also in Florida.

I would not necessarily go with a Regent recommendation They might not give you the best deal. Not all agents offer the same perks Agree - location irrelevant.

We just booked Regent Air with our TA to Athens. The Regent agent assigned seats right on the phone. On American. Aadvantage miles count

We are on Whisper March 20 - Mumbai to Athens, through the Red Sea. Silence on SS. Very frustrating as I will have to make many adjustments to flights and booked private tours. Fortunately we booked a private tour in India for 10 days pre cruise and we will still do that and perhaps extend the land trip. I cannot believe our cruise will go forward. What are they waiting for?

We are not allowed to recommend travel agents on CC. The best thing you can do is do a Google search.

Thanks to all for this information We are on the Whisper on March 20 - Mumbai to Athens, going through the Red Sea. They have not cancelled the cruise yet but I cannot imagine that it will be a go. SS is leaving us all hanging so we cannot make alternative plans or change arrangements. Very frustrating.

What I often to do on long cruises is find a nail place in a port if we have along stay in the port. Not only is it cheaper (and maybe better), you get the experience of "bonding" with the local women. It is culturally interesting.

I find this thread interesting as we are scheduled on Whisper in March Mumbai to Athens. They already cancelled the 2 stops in Egypt and added overnights in Jeddah and Aqaba. I am concerned about whether this cruise will stop at these 2 ports and one port in Oman (Salalah). My ta inquired. No decision. I share everyone’s frustration

You can definitely bring guests on board. You must arrange ahead of time. There is a form to fill out where you list the government identification that they will use (with relevant numbers eg. dr lic number). They have to bring that same id to the ship to board. Your guests can arrive for breakfast, stay for lunch and spend the day. They have to disembark by at least 2 hours before sailing.

Charlie has become family and I cannot recommend this tour enough You will feed monkeys and get very close to alligators. But best of all you will have a ball with Charlie. There is simply nothing better in Puntarenas. This time we took one of the cruise line's staff so she could share in the experience. Feeding the monkeys is just indescribable. I cannot recommend more highly.

Totally agree about the lack of enrichment about the crossing. This was our 6th crossing. Nothing. The story of the building of the canal is fascinating. Every other line had great presentations. The narrator was subpar imo

The towels on grandeur were fabulous. Of course they are new😁
