  1. Unless diet orange is specifically "required" for your health, I don't see it happening. Especially since diet soda (of any flavor) is not healthy for anyone. As far as not liking Diet Coke, that's not a legitimate reason...that's a preference. I don't like Bud Light, but they won't allow me to bring on my own REAL beer.
  2. Website works just fine for booking restaurants. I never use the app for anything.
  3. I know all about the InterWebs...and also "morans", by the way. Just giving you poop. I post regularly on the Milwaukee Brewers fan site and every time another team has a game rained out, someone will say, "Build a roof, you morans". It's become a running joke for stupid teams that don't have a roof.
  4. I'm talking about looking at ice and snow in July (or any other month). I see enough of that stuff in the winter. I don't need to see it in summer.
  5. I need a hint as to where it might be hiding. Otherwise I'll have to scour the entire ship. By the way, the "Pez Dispenser" is one of the classic "Seinfeld" episodes.
  6. We looked at MSC, but since we never do seven day cruises, both Princess and MSC have funky itineraries for 14 (or more) days. They both end up going back to the originating port (Miami, etc.) mid-cruise. Who wants to go back and sit in Miami (or wherever) for a full day in the middle of the 14 days? Yes, I realize that these are essentially back-to-back cruises. But still, if I'm committing 14 days to a cruise, I really don't want to waste one of those days sitting back in the originating port.
  7. What's a moran?? And, just so you know, we have lightweight disposable ponchos that we take on every cruise.
  8. Now you've done it...you've made the anti-surprise group on this board very upset. I don't know if they'll ever be able to forgive you. 😛
  9. We've never done Alaska, either. Probably never will. (Let the booing and hissing begin). I know everyone raves about it, but when we cruise we don't want to have to pack rain jackets and/or parkas. We live in the Frozen Tundra. We don't need to travel to see more of it. As with everything else, YMMV.
  10. Good to hear the Moderno on the Escape is good. Never tried it but have it booked for September. So many divergent opinions on that place lately. Also booked Cagney's...with the same divergent opinions. Tobacco Road is our favorite Escape Bar (if you don't count the District). Great people-watching spot. I usually don't care for people, but I enjoy watching them (from a distance).
  11. Comes in handy if you want to "scope out" your fellow cruising singles.
  12. We got married on a mountaintop overlooking Lake Tahoe. We were married by a minister we found online. May, or may not, have been a real minister...which means we may, or may not have been officially married. However, we did have a license, so I guess so. But because it always seemed a bit...I don't know...unofficial, we decided to do a 10 year vow renewal in our church with our REAL pastor. Oh...and I hesitate to say this, but the renewal was my idea. Mrs. Schmoopie (maybe reluctantly) agreed to it. Oh, and regarding the comment about women wanting to wear a nice dress...our renewal ceremony was completely casual. Everyone wore shorts, etc. Mrs. Schmoopie wore a t-shirt that said, "He's so nice, I married him twice". (Everyone knew that was a lie, but went a long with it)...
  13. I've learned a few things from reading these 20 pages. The main thing I learned is not to read 20 pages of rehashed dead horse complaints. Okay, everyone get back it.
  14. The OP obviously doesn't know the correct term for "surprise" on this forum. Having said that, I'm all for surprises. Hence the correct term...right, @Sugar Magnolia and @debenson0723?
  15. And don't be surprised if they do it again this year. For our convenience...
  16. Two things about that laundry bag video: No undies?? And what's with the centimeters? I suppose I could try to convert it to inches, but I hate math, so...
  17. We had briefly looked at the Sun for a future cruise. However, after reading the horrendous reviews on CC, we quickly squelched that idea. But following along with you, it's nice to see that the Sun isn't as bad as most of the previous reviewers make it out to be. Or maybe your fantastic photography makes it look better. Maybe we'll give it a shot some day.
  18. We had four Spain ports on our November, 2022 TA. All of the bars had the signs. Well, until I stole all of the signs. I figured if there was no sign, they wouldn't charge it. I figured wrong...
  19. "It's a skill...kind of like juggling" (Yet another obscure "Seinfeld" quote)...
  20. Yes there is. And since Syd's is notorious for long lines, grab a drink at Tobacco Road, the bar right next door, and monitor the line so you know when to jump in, I beat @Sugar Magnoliato the punch...
  21. @AgentMalt I see you just joined CC yesterday. Welcome to the world of dissenting opinions. As you've already seen, opinions of the food on NCL (including the Specialty Restaurants) varies wildly. This is what usually happens when people ask for food recommendations on CC. My advice (for what it's worth) is to try whatever style food/restaurant YOU like. Forget what others say, as everyone's taste is different. Honestly, in all the NCL cruises we've taken, I can positively say I do not recall ever having a bad meal in a Specialty Restaurant...and we've tried all of them. I think you'll be fine with whatever choice you make. If not, it's not the end of the world. There's always another one to try.
  22. How long before they increase the Daily Service Charge (again)? They upped it to $20 (for steerage) a while ago. Probably the next shoe to drop.
