  1. Thx. Just realized the Spain ncl.com website has different promo options. You are forced to take the drinks package. :( so not only do I need English, I also need the USA ncl.com. I guess I need VPN for that
  2. I'm on Bermuda and for some reason ncl.com is in Spanish, even in incognito mode. So cookies didn't matter. How to force English?
  3. Originally, that $50 discount was great. Several free excursions! Then ncl rapidly raised prices such that no more free excursions except for maybe beach transfers. I was wondering when prices would be raised the full $50 to completely negate the discount and I think we've arrived. That $29 kayak excursion at Great Stirrup Cay private island pre-covid is now $79. (I doing it this week) So with the $50 discount, it's $29 again. Note: I understand why ncl still keeps the discount for everyone instead of eliminating it and lowering prices by $50: Marketing Keeps people from using 3rd party excursions
  4. Solo male. Will be going to Australia on Celebrity in the fall. ship Shore excursions are expensive, even at their 30% off sale. These are my ports: AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND BAY OF ISLANDS, NEW ZEALAND SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA AIRLIE BEACH, QLD, AUSTRALIA CAIRNS(YORKEY'S KNOB) DARWIN,AUSTRALIA Would appreciate recommendations on 3rd party shore excursions. Thx
  5. 3 days?? so day 7 was cheapest for your 10day cruise? ($30 x 7) - $125 = $85? on my 11 day cruise, day 9 (2 days) was cheapest. wouldnt go any cheaper after that.
  6. Interesting enough, on a 11day cruise, the unlimited upgrade price dropped till day 9. Next time i do a 12 day cruise, i'm going to try waiting till 9 days left and see if the price drops to $69.90. ($30 less) Heck, if you can upgrade while using the 300 promo minutes, even better to wait till day 9
  7. my cruise last month was the 1st time i got an upgrade offer AFTER i started using my min. so something has changed in ncl computers. could be just my ship? (1st time i was on the Star) i say go use it. worse case scenario, goto the internet mgr on day 2 (or later) and upgrade. Let us know what happened. (and what ship)
  8. oh wow. assumed it's per person. (I travel solo.) yike at my elderly mom buying 8 cn earlier this year. she only takes 1 cruise a year with my sister. 😮
  9. Current special: 3 CN certs if Balcony (or above) and 4+ months in advance. So if 2 people in a room, can use 6. but if 3 people in a room, can you use 9??? what if the 3rd person is 12years old? (pre-planning to buy alot of cn certs for cruise next year)
  10. Saw this on another website. No more free lobster night?
  11. i'm $60 short of using a 2nd $250 cruisenext certificate. so i need to pad my order with something. (i'm weeks before final payment.) Spend $60 to save $250 is good. as for why book with ncl given my slogan? it's a 'free' cruise from my land casino. 11 days on their newest ship, Viva.
  12. I'm logged into my acct and there's an upgrade offer of 2 additional specialty dining for $69 + 20% tip. But when i click on it, i get this: 'We've encountered an error. Please log out and try again later.' I've logged off and back on several times. Same error. I logged on via incognito mode (no cookies). Same. Any ideas?
  13. thx! my cruise ship debarks 7am and my flight isnt till 5pm. Was looking for an easy way to store my luggage to explore. Would this work? cruise pier xfer to bsi, store luggage, then take hoho from bsi. do a loop, then hop off to explore then hop back on to bsi. then take bus xfer to airport. does the hoho have an app so you can track their buses to know how close one is to me while im exploring the city?
  14. Flyover Iceland was fun but is $40 and only last 30min. 😞
  15. Will be debarking (around 7am) in Reykjavik in Aug via cruise ship. There's a free shuttle to the Opera House from pier. Our flight isnt till 5pm. Where can we store our luggage so we can explore the city?
  16. you cant leave the blue train. you're there till it completes the loop back to the terminal, just like a tour bus. i was going to do the hop on/off but got lucky and found the 7.5hr Troll Rd tour bus. they had empty seats. went to atm and got cash. Search for my review with link to buy directly from operator instead of re-seller (like viator) if you dont want to pay cash
  17. interesting.. my cruise was from Tromso to iceland, which included a stop at the Svalbard island. No signs about immigration. No going though the huge white tent for passport control. we all walked through the tourist center and out
  18. yes, at the same drop off point from cruise port. The Yellow city bus will have a sign on front window saying cruise port. Don't take other yellow buses since the opera house is a stop for many bus routes. when i did an overnight on ncl Dawn, last bus was 9pm. Dont know if that's last pickup at opera house or last leaving the cruise port
  19. Ncl. No immigration! Just walked out like any port. - Free shuttle to opera house - Taxi line. They added a cover. No cover when I was there last year. Also last year, taxi line took an hr! - Taxi prices :o :o :o
  20. 3days left on 11 day cruise, my 150min internet auto activated. Now I get this popup upsell for unlimited. No more $200 off because 300min. Now it's based on 150min. :( So if you want $200 off upgrade to unlimited (best at 9days left), only activate the 300min
  21. So gem, star and dawn will be down to 2 production shows. Why? The production cast is still there for the other 2 shows. So they're going to pay them 1/3 less?
  22. wait.. Indulge had a hostess? whats the point if she didnt have the power of a mdr hostess in restricting access (and handing out beepers) if full?
  23. interesting... 6 days left and i get this pop-up upsell for unlimited upgrade. i've activated my 400 casino min first then 300 promo min 2 days later. (have not activated my 150 promo min yet.) i have like 410 min left so technically, i have not used any of the 300 min. it's sill the same price as if 9days left on cruise. didnt go for it.
