  1. There is a little section with tables right outside the buffet entrance/exit door midship that is sheltered and quite warm. It's at the opposite end of the burger/hotdog stand.
  2. It was the same situation on the previous cruise before yours. Buffet was super crowded at peak time. They also ran out of clean plates and coffee the odd times. On the other hand, food was plenty and there are extra seating around the pool deck.
  3. No karaoke, no outdoor movies under the star, no Lido sail away party with live band, no waterslide, no silence disco etc. Bring a book or two with you if this is a concern.
  4. Do you know how much it would cost to sue X? Way more than the cruise price.
  5. With lot of shops and attractions to look at along the way.
  6. Cheaper to book online directly with WPYR than through ship excursion department.
  7. X relented and I am L&S to Mar 27, 2025 Japan cruise at the old price with perks. Happy this got resolved. Now waiting for my TA to send revised booking confirmation.
  8. This is getting from bad to ridicules. In the letter from X yesterday, my booking was cancelled and I was offered the option to Lift & Shift to one of the three Japan sailings in 2024. When I called this AM (less than 24 hours), X now said 2024 Japan sailings are no longer available to L&S and only offered to put me on waitlist for 2025 Japan cruise with no guarantee I can get on. A quick check of an online big box TA shows there are a lot of empty cabins listed for sale on these Japan cruises at a much higher price. This leads me to believe that X has no interest to honor the lower price + perks I paid and prefers to get rid of my booking. Unbelievable.
  9. Regardless of what X does from this point on, X messed up big time and the damage is done. I wouldn't be surprised some heads are going to roll in its IT department.
  10. I suppose if X cancels people randomly, it cannot be accused of discrimination. Just a thought.
  11. I was on Westerdam in Feb. It had alternate taco and ramen bar next to the pool on different days of the cruise. Both were delicious and complimentary.
  12. Most likely a double decker bus.
  13. Agree except I can't eat Indian for 7 days in a row. A bit too spicy for my digestive system.
  14. Deposit is fully refundable. There is little downside to book and decide later.
  15. I ran into sfpd3000 on my Pacific Coastal cruise a year ago right outside Pier 27. He was doing traffic duty that day. I asked him if he was on CC and he said yes. Super friendly cop with a smile.
  16. Come again? Why is this so wrong? When did cruise lines ever state they are nonprofit charity organizations?
  17. Comparing to RCCL ships, HA ship entertainments are pretty low key and a bit underwhelming. On the other hand, I like the buffet on HA where food is always served to you by ship staff.
  18. Train over bus any day. You can ride the bus whenever you want at home year round.
  19. Best decision Carnival made. Total waste of staff time and laundry cost.

    Mexico

Mex soldiers and police are quite friendly with tourists. They would post for pictures if you ask them nicely.
  21. I guess we will know more about these cruises when flights are scheduled to show up for booking through X in a few weeks.

    Mexico

PV cruise pier is located right next to a large Mex naval base. Cartels better bring with them a lot of fire power if they plan to attack and overrun PV.
  23. US$1pp per trip. Bus stop is located right outside the cruise pier.
  24. In case you are unaware, that hotel is haunted. Prefect place to be at Halloween though.
