Nothing new. It's been like this dating back to the ghetto blaster days except back then, the boom box was too big and heavy to drag around the ship. -

Breakfast juice and coffee at Lido is so water down they taste almost like plain water. Get a drink package or coffee card if your budget allows it.

Singapore is one big shopping mall and food street wherever you go. Guarantee you won't go hungry and can shop until you drop. Do bring an umbrella because when it rains, it pours.

Love it or hate it, MSC still offers the cheapest cruise deals among mass market cruise lines nine out of ten times. -
Song lists are selected by activity staff on the ship. They are not identical and vary on each ship.

I always bring a book with me to read or watch a movie on tv during evening downtime when nothing interests me on the ship. HA has a good selection of older movies on tv. -
Beware of public washrooms in Malaysia. Unless you go to a 4 star international hotel, most public toilets are a hole in the ground with no toilet papers provided. Some would require you to pay a fee to use.

Karaoke hosts/DJs on cruise ships rarely sing. They are part of the cruise activity team that runs all kinds of guest activities throughout the cruise. Operating karaoke jukebox machine is only a small part of their job description.

Minimum wage line crew are not empowered, trained or tasked to confront customers. I suspect they may even be told not to get into any argument with passengers under any circumstances.

I welcome MSC to aggressively pursue its expansion plan in N America. More competition can only mean more deals for cruisers.

About security, Mazatlan & PV were flooded with police and heavily armed soldiers but nothing like that in Cabo. All I saw was a lone security guard armed with an SMG in front of a high end jewelry store.

Yes. OBC will be in the form of appetizer and dessert. Nonrefundable and expired at MDR closing time.

An appetizer, then one lobster tail, followed by another entrée + dessert. Works for me

It used to be if you book your cruise 12 months in advance, you also get $50 OBC pp. Come to think of it, I never got mine for the 2024 cruise I booked.

The street hustlers don't approach everyone to paddle their drug and sex merchandise in Cabo. They target tourists that fit a certain profile like young party type American males who are out to have fun and cash to spend. I wasn't approached since I am a sloppily dressed old fart but the 3 young dudes besides me were.
