Singapore is one big shopping mall and food street wherever you go. Guarantee you won't go hungry and can shop until you drop. Do bring an umbrella because when it rains, it pours.
I always bring a book with me to read or watch a movie on tv during evening downtime when nothing interests me on the ship. HA has a good selection of older movies on tv.
Beware of public washrooms in Malaysia. Unless you go to a 4 star international hotel, most public toilets are a hole in the ground with no toilet papers provided. Some would require you to pay a fee to use.

They target tourists that fit a certain profile like young party type American males who are out to have fun and cash to spend. I wasn't approached since I am a sloppily dressed old fart but the 3 young dudes besides me were.
