  1. I lowered the window briefly. But that only affected MY cabin. i was referring to when I have a regular balcony - you are not supposed to leave those open either. In that case it doesn’t shut off the a/c to your cabin but it affects all in your block. Traditional balcony.
  2. Not the OP, but I cruise solo and I am quite happy to sit by myself, thank you. My point in cruising is to chill and relax, and being forced into interaction is not my idea of that. I'll likely just stick with Windjammer on my upcoming Anthem cruise as I couldn't get MTD reservations for my preferred time and don't feel like dealing with a line.
  3. I loved mine. Had no issues with it. Granted I’m a rule follower who never leaves her balcony door open, so the a/c cutting off is not an issue for me.
  4. Not sure what was up with their menu, but the one listed for 2/17 has the following in entrees: Day 1 - whitefish Day 2 - Salmon AND a seafood linguine Day 3 - Sole Day 4 - Salmon Day 5 - Fish & Chips Day 6 - Tiger shrimp Day 7 - Salmon teryaki So yes, a bit of salmon, but that is not the "only" seafood on the menu. Unless they only did main dining on the nights where the seafood was salmon, but then that's inaccurate info to say "they only had salmon in the main dining room" as a blanket statement. (No, not an apologist - my upcoming could be my last Royal as I think Celebrity fits me better with occasional Disney thrown in. And I despise seafood. I was just looking to see if that were really the case.)
  5. I'm missing all my virtual buddies here on the Celebrity boards since I've been over on Royal as I have my Anthem cruise in 10 days. (Planning to do a live...I'll post the link once it's up if people are interested. It's the first time I'll have been on something so large.) But once that's over, I'll be back prepping for my Beyond ABC cruise on 7/27. And then again for an Eastern on 7/20/25 (my "Oh ship! It's my birthday!" shirt gets another go!)!! Hugs y'all!
  6. NYC public schools have Spring Break 4/20-30. Our break is always over Passover.
  7. Do those correspond to the luggage tag color? Because for my upcoming cruise on Anthem I am aft but my tags are green.
  8. And the same applies to adults in an adult-only area. Some of us are accustomed to more Serene adult beaches that aren't mad party scenes.
  9. I will report back after my visit there on 2/21. Should be a good feel for a busy week as it's Presidents' Week and Anthem and Liberty are in port together.
  10. That was my thought. I WISH it was only $3.50 at the movies!!
  11. Where are you getting 45%? $18 is 45% of $40. So unless you got some huge deal where your cruise is only $40/person/day, you're not paying $45% in grats.
  12. You'd have to lie when booking and get yourself to another hotel or something for pick-up. Their website (at least the last time I looked) says that cruise passengers can only book through their ship.
  13. How are you looking up the weather and on what? I can't find Coco Cay on Accuweather or Weather.com - Nassau is the closest I can find.
  14. Yeah...I'm not sure it's for me, but I haven't seen it lower than $26.99 for my upcoming cruise - and knowing that it's over Presidents' Week when a lot of the Northeast has school break AND since we'll be there along with Liberty (I'm on Anthem), having an adult-only area will be nice. And if it's too big of a party, I'll go elsewhere and not feel like I spent a ton of $$ on it.
  15. Dropped to $26.99 for the 2/17 Anthem. I cancelled it at $38.99 and rebooked this morning.
  16. 2 weeks from now I'll be up putting my last minute stuff in a bag and waiting for my Uber to Cape Liberty to embark on Anthem!
  17. Thanks. Not vegan...just save my actual dairy for cheese! 🙂
  18. Oh no! Hugs to you and sending them love and light!!!!
  19. My first experience with the gluten-free section on a Royal ship was on Brilliance. Overall it was good, but do be aware that it's not roped off and anyone can get to it. I happened to be there at breakfast one morning when a couple of kids I guess decided the bacon looked better on the gluten-free station and came over to get it from there - and promptly dropped their biscuits on the bacon. They picked them up (actually using tongs!), but for anyone who is celiac that was a potential huge problem. (Mine is a wheat allergy that just shows up as a little wheezing.) To the dining team's credit, I immediately alerted the worker in the middle of the pod and they promptly removed that pan and the tongs and brought out a fresh pan and tongs from the back. But do be aware that anyone can go over to the gluten-free pod/area.
