  1. Not unless you're so late you're beyond departure time!
  2. Just to note for the OP that only those in suites can eat in Luminae or visit The Retreat. (Said as someone who does not cruise in suites but could have been very confused before my first Celebrity cruise if someone had mentioned Luminae or The Retreat as places to eat or go and I wasn't allowed.)
  3. Then hopefully you also know that the BEST way to show extra appreciation (besides cash tips) is to mention them by name to the line and their superiors. THAT will go much further in getting them promotions and such that will ultimately help them more than a random t-shirt.
  4. Yeah, that would be a hard pass for me. Cucumbers are not for me. (But pickle them and I'm a fan. HAHA!)
  5. BIG difference is that most hard seltzers are gluten-free. Most beers are not. So for those of us who can't have gluten, hard seltzers can be a safe alternative.
  6. Except wine is supposed to be carried on and NOT in checked bags. So you ARE in fact breaking rules putting it in checked bags. (Also if it breaks and damages other people's luggage, you'll be responsible for repair or replacement of their stuff.)
  7. I'd thought The Porch was mostly seafood though. Unless it's radically different on Beyond, Rooftop Garden Grill is more steak and such.
  8. And you can "take responsibility for your own health" by getting all the vaccines and boosters, wearing a mask, washing hands, etc. and STILL get COVID. Happened to me just after Christmas. Happened to my sister (who works on a cruise ship) in May. Happened to my parents in August. All of us fully vaxxed and boosted and all taking precautions. Everything that was said for "taking responsibility for your health" and we STILL got it.
  9. Which honestly makes no sense as you CAN get COVID more than once.
  10. I don't see one listed on its list of specialty restaurants
  11. Pretty sure it's now 2 per person. So unless you're in a single stateroom 4 should not be an issue as the assumption would be 2 per person - ergo 2 people could have 4 bottles.
  12. Absolutely. When it's open you can certainly get your own drinks. If I remember correctly, they only even had servers in the evening/night - when it was open during the day it was go to the bar on your own. Even in February 2020.
  13. It was not in a port, but a few years ago when I was on a RCCL cruise, we were crossing the Med returning to Barcelona. The midday report from the captain was that it looked like clear sailing all the way in. I had an OV cabin overlooking the bow of the ship. About 2am the last night of the cruise, I was awakened hearing what sounded like water crashing over the bow and realized we were rocking and rolling. High winds (I turned the tv on to the navigation channel and while I don't remember the exact knots of the wind, I know it was super high) and rain and yes, waves crashing over the bow. I don't mind the rocking and rolling (other than pulling all the empty hangers off the rack), but a lot of people were very green at breakfast and waiting to disembark. On researching, I found that that kind of pop up storm can happen in the middle of the Med with little to no warning.
  14. I've only been on one Celebrity cruise so far, and I did Eden once with booking on board. I didn't look into any others. I know Disney has chosen to limit ADVANCE reservations to their adult-only restaurants to once in each (well, one dinner and one brunch in each) reservation -but you can always check for more bookings once you're on board. And it's seemed to work ok for them. (The one exception I've seen - and I don't know if it's every time on the OG 4 ships or at all on the Wish is that if you book Palo for the first night in advance, you can book a second dinner in advance.)
  15. Agree with this - I had my TA price a cruise either way and when she sent me the numbers I did a quick calculation of adding even just tips and bev package and said "Just doing that, I'm more than AI - not even counting WiFi." She replied "Yep." I booked with AI even though I'm not super bothered with internet.
  16. They are all cool, but sea turtles are my "thing" - I adore them. So that's the natural choice for me!
  17. Thanks! I'd found a different one, but it didn't include the turtle like yours does. That's what I'd be interested in making!
  18. Is there a list anywhere of the standard options and the other options with additional cost?
  19. I'm still confused as to why people are all on about "formal wear" when X doesn't even do formal nights any longer.
  20. Unless things have changed, Celebrity doesn't even have "formal night". It's Evening Chic which has a broad interpretation.
  21. THIS. I just lump it all in and don't worry myself doing math to make sure I'm "getting my money's worth". I'd rather just have the peace of mind to get a drink when I want it and not worry about a budget for the drinks.
  22. Had you ordered those? Or were they a gift from your TA? Or how did 2 bottles just show up?
