  1. Did that change? The list posted in the first post says 12/8.
  2. Probably because it's not on any of the pre-cruise things you see - so if you've never been on a Celebrity cruise you have no idea this is a thing. At least in some cases. In others, some people just don't like wearing white.
  3. Be cautious. I'm gluten-free due to a wheat allergy and in at least one of the MDRs on Edge one night there were 2 dishes containing the same protein - but one was safe and one was not. I had specifically said I was gluten-free...but my server brought the non-safe dish for me. I caught the mistake before I took a bite, but it unnerved me that my server could say they understood and yet bring out, without even asking for clarification, the wrong dish. I'll be back on X at least once more (stupidly did a NRD that was $450 so I don't want to lose it) which will likely be Edge-class and I do select dining, but I'm going to "select" the same MDR every night at the same time and request that I have the same servers if not the same exact table. I only did Eden for specialty but they did great with keeping me safe there. LPC is a limited menu and if you have something that deviates from the primary option the animation will not match up. I've felt relatively safe on each cruise I've done since my wheat allergy was diagnosed, but I feel safest on Disney.
  4. IMHO only if the others are on board with a rushed experience since a table is served at the same pace. Better to request your own table in this case. Or, as you said, go to the buffet. But in this case I'd let the maitre'd know your plans so they can alert your assigned server that they don't have to wait for you (something else that would affect others assigned to your table).
  5. Google hath failed me on this one...
  6. Now I'm curious how you pronounced it...
  7. The main hard and fast rule I know is that for hurricane coverage you must get it BEFORE the storm has a name. I thin pre-existing condition coverage requires purchase within 14 days usually.
  8. It was not even that in Feb 2020. It was AMAZING!
  9. It was my favorite meal ever when I went on Edge in Feb 2020 so definitely planning to book it as soon as the dining pops up in my summer 2024 Norwegian Fjords cruise!! Embarkation is my birthday - what better way to celebrate!!!!
  10. Don't stress it. There are people here who complain if you don't search - OR if you search! You can't win!!
  11. OMG this!! Not an elevator, but on the subway the other day someone was asking where they could catch another line into Manhattan. It would have been VERY simple to just say "Transfer at Hoyt-Schermerhorn" (which I would have but I had laryngitis and NO voice) but some charmer on the other side pointed to the illuminated line along the top and said "Look at that. It'll tell you where all the transfer points are." The poor guy who asked was still so confused two stops later when I was getting off (my first of two possibilities, so no biggie if I missed), I pointed at Hoyt-Schermerhorn and where it said "A C" below it. I don't know why some people think being complicated is the way to be.
  12. HAHAHA! No to Paris! I just realized that is right before/during the Olympics! Scotland and/or Ireland post-cruise sounds nice!
  13. Thank you!!! After a lot of thought and contemplation, I decided to switch to the one that stops at Bruges! It embarks on my birthday!! I'm thinking I'll pre- or post-cruise a hop to Paris for the first time too!!
  14. If looking at Norway, which of these itineraries would you say is better: Bruges, Flam, Geiranger, Bergen or Stavanger, Geiranger, Flam, Haugesund Thanks!
  15. Guess I'm waiting until Dec 8 to see if there is anything there that interests me. I've done Alaska twice. Not sure I'm that interested in Norway or Portugal. Not thrilled about what I have booked for now for this summer (Equinox to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Bimini)...but less thrilled about losing the $450 NR deposit I was stupid enough to make.
  16. My guess - and it's just that - is they mean in the US for the date. We're not there yet. Probably sometime in the wee hours here tomorrow. (US Eastern time)
  17. She was onboard the christening cruise and specifically asked them and was told it was not permanent.
  18. Internet by Musk. (aka why I'm not doing AI anymore...I don't want to give him my money)
  19. Per my TA, that was only for the special cruises surrounding the christening.
  20. I'd guess that you could...but I suspect that the vast majority of people who opt for Select Dining do it for their own table, so there may be a wait or there may be no one who wants to share.
  21. All the time. My TA gets worried if she doesn't hear from me with a change every so often.
  22. THAT would tick me off! The only reason that is acceptable is if the people waiting with a reservation had shown up early and it wasn't their time yet.
  23. Agree!! Even when watching a video where the person filming it claims it happened. I even rewatched holding my eyes open so I didn't blink but didn't see it.
