  1. This is what mine looks like - also OV Difference of $772. This is a 7-night cruise. If I did cruise only then bought the Classic, pre-paid grats, and basic Wi-Fi, it would total $2717. So I am better off with AI.
  2. And what would Classic for 1, Wifi for 1 and Tips for 1 be if added separately?
  3. IDK. I priced it as solo with and without and then as 2 with and without and it was not that for me. IDK what to tell you. But still, pricing them separately (leaving off the WiFi) it literally came out vitrually the same as the AI cost difference. So I think part of the difference is actually the single supplement. Then again, I like ease and not doing complicated math.
  4. No, I priced it out both AI and not AI and it was not that big of a difference.
  5. I'm not positive, but it certainly does feel like it. Even the ones who claim to not be high maintenance seem to always be posting about what the lowest level of suite they'll stay in is. Definitely feels like on here most people are in suites and only go lower if they absolutely have to.
  6. I'm finding it interesting this "double for beverages and wifi" with AI. I'm booked solo on the Summit this coming summer and have AI. Out of curiosity with all this talk, I went and priced it both ways - if I bought the beverage package and did tips separately - and I come out virtually the exact same buying each of those for one as I do getting AI. And that's not even including the internet which I could take or leave, it's not that big of a deal for me. I'd say it was some kind of magic my TA was working, but I'm looking at prices without her involved and it's the same. I'm virtually the same amount as if I did cruise only and then booked beverage package and pre-paid tips.
  7. Interesting. This is the first I've heard of room service being safe for food allergies (I'm allergic to wheat, ergo I'm gluten-free). I've always been cautioned against using room service for anything not naturally safe. I've never had issues in the buffet - granted, I don't have to have toast (never liked it), but it's been simple. And I had no issues on the Edge for MDR breakfast - unless you count my server not understanding "if they cannot do gluten-free pancakes, then an egg white omelette" and bringing both as an issue. My server perfectly understood what I needed and was asking - just not the either/or part of my request.
  8. What did you think it was going to be? Maybe I'm weird, but if "making" is in the name of the tour, I'm going to expect to be doing the actual work.
  9. From what I understand, that is ONLY if your regular stateroom gratuities have been left in place. If they have been removed then cash must be turned in; but if they have been left in place, the person receiving the cash may keep all of it (of course, they can choose to turn it in for the pool if they desire - and some do to help take care of their co-workers).
  10. I go on vacation to experience new things and new places - and I cruise for being out on the ocean. I don't vacation to have my bed turned down. But like you said, we're all different.
  11. Even when I hang mine up, my cabin steward replaces them. It's annoying as I'd rather conserve the water, etc. for laundering them all the time.
  12. I will happily print off the Planner and take it with me. OK, so they have some fancy powders in them. If you're eating healthily anyway, you don't need those. Your body actually processes blended fruits as if they were pretty much solid sugar since it doesn't have to break them down.
  13. AMEN!!! I always hang mine back up, which should mean they stay. But no - I always return to fresh towels. Maybe I'll write it on a card and hand it to my steward on my next cruise - "Please do NOT replace towels which are hung back on racks or hooks." I don't use freshly laundered towels daily at home - I don't need them on vacation either.
  14. My planner still shows this under the Classic Alcohol Package: "Zero Proof: Acqua Panna water, Evian water, San Pellegrino, Premium coffees, Red Bull & Editions, Sodas, Premium teas, Vitamin water, Bottled Iced Teas, Aqua Spa Fresh Juices, Zero Proof Cocktails Frozen & Non-Frozen" I went to an incognito browser so nothing carries over from before and it still shows that under the Classic Alcohol. Just no "smoothies" which is NBD for me. I'd rather eat my fruit than drink it.
  15. It's there for July 16. A good ways down the screen in the far right column. IDK about other dates.
  16. It's under Spa & Fitness for my July 16 Summit cruise. You just have to keep scrolling down the page.
  17. Did you watch the video that is linked earlier in the thread about the 2024 itineraries? That's 5 right there.
  18. Curious why this is a problem. Much better than standing over them. I think it is respectful of guests who may not be able to stand for long periods of time for the officers to get on their level.
  19. Oh, I've had Uber and Lyft drivers accept the ride but then cancel before they got there. Sadly, I don't think they get dinged with penalties for that like we as passengers do if we cancel after the ride is accepted.
  20. Technically the wine is 2 bottles per person over 21 in the cabin and it is supposed to be carried on - NOT in your checked bag. I don't know any lines that allow it in the checked bags. Will the porters take it? Sure - you could slap a luggage tag on anything and they'd take it for a tip. but any kind of beverage (wine, soda, water) SHOULD be carried on and NOT checked.
  21. No, if one of age has an alcohol package, all of age must unless they meet reasons for not (underage, pregnant, recovering alcoholic, medication it interacts with) and then they must have the non-alcohol package (whatever it's called).
  22. And they're 90+ days out from their cruise (I'm guessing since they say they are nearing final payment)? What's to say that the situation today will be the situation in 90ish days?? It could be better by their cruise. It could be worse by their cruise.
