  1. Same here. @ozdevilNot all shops have a surchage, only a few. The ones I see are usually only about 1.5% - peanuts. Fees are mostly built into the price (along with all the other business running costs), therefore people buying with cash are also paying a bank fee which goes to the seller, not the bank, to cover the cost of handling cash and employee time taken to count, balance the till and carry to the bank.
  2. Hmm. Myself and two ladies did this tour in 2020. We were all in our 70s at the time.
  3. You could do a Segway tour of Devonport taking in the old fortifications, along the way admiring the beautiful (and expensive) historic homes. Rental company and guide are at the ferry wharf. https://www.magicbroomsticktours.co.nz/
  4. https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/fridges/articles/foods-you-do-and-dont-need-to-refrigerate This may help.
  5. Makers of ginger beer have a "mother" culture which keeps growing. A bit like sourdough.
  6. Our first time in the Mount we found a fantastic dairy where we had the best thick shakes ever (IIRC mine was Jaffa - yummo). On our next cruise we went looking for the same dairy and it was under new ownership and moved upmarket(?) to a hipster, cafe. We tried one of their shakes and we were very disappointed.
  7. I can't imagine a fast getaway with all those bags.
  8. I recall doing doing a farm tour from Tauranga some years ago. I can't remember any details. Sorry.
  9. NYE seems to be becoming a bit to regular for my liking.
  10. https://www.coca-cola.com/gb/en/about-us/faq/what-s-the-difference-between-cocacola-zero-sugar-and-diet-coke I prefer Pepsi Max to Coke. If I can't get Pepsi I prefer Coke Zero. Unfortunately ships don't seem to stock much in the way of sugar free.
  11. I have done an excellent cruise of Queen Charlotte Sound. https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/marlborough-sounds-l93419/cruises-boat-tours-tc48/?visitor-id=1E0PQK38WQOTMZA1UELKN34EQLLS0WLI&locale_autoredirect_optout=true IIRC the cruise took up a morning and left time for wine tasting and chocolate shop tour in the afternoon. https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attractions-g285728-Activities-c42-t205-Picton_Marlborough_Region_South_Island.html Have also done the steam train trip into Blenheim. Great one for entusiasts but not a lot to do in Blenheim. https://www.marlboroughflyer.co.nz/
  12. That would be a little tricky if, like me, you have three.🐈‍⬛😺🐈
  13. You can have a burger made to order. You don't have to have exactly what is on the menu. Same with the dogs.
  14. The trick with X burgers is to order one with a turkey pattie instead of beef. The beef patties are usually cooked in bulk and then stacked on a tray until ordered. The turkey patties are cooked on request.

  16. Something just clicked. I saw that listed on my TV program. As I had already seen the movie I gave it a miss.🙄
  17. I went windsurfing as there was a good breeze blowing. As soon as I hit the water the wind died. About 500m from shore the thunder started. As my board and mast etc are made of carbon fibre, which is a great conductor of electricity, I headed back to shore and called it quits for the day. This time I missed the brunt of it.
