  1. I've just signed up fo Wise card and account. Previously used a velocity card until it was scrapped.
  2. Yep, USD20-USD30. Camel Blue or Filters are about USD26 a pack(25). A pack a day habit can, very quickly, add up to the price of a cruise.
  3. $8 a pack! Where I am, one will pay about $30-$40 a pack of 20. Now that's real incentive to quit.
  4. Here you go. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=winchester+cathedral+song#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:014fbf67,vid:jKc1OCJ7iXk,st:0
  5. I remember it from the 60s. "Mouldy old dough, mouldy old dough"
  6. I've not seen this race format before i.e. top three to the final. I couldn't see any reason for the recall either, perhaps indecision by starter? Usually, when I have raced, there would be an individual recall sounded if one or two crossed early. When this happens the transgressors number would be called and they would have to re-round the start marker. If too many start early a general recall would be sounded and the race restarted. They can get amazing speed, they were hitting almost 30kts in 16kts of wind in rough conditions. My best on foils is about 21kts which, for me, can be scary in rough conditions. I'm comfortable at about 18kts. In my Avatar I was doing about 14kts in about 8kts wind, which is close to minimum windspeed for foiling.
  7. Side effect of having a drink package. Hmm?
  8. Very happy to see Australian Grae Morris claim a silver medal in the Olympic Windsurfing final. https://www.nine.com.au/sport/olympics/paris-2024-mens-windsurfing-final-result-grae-morris-silver-20240803-p5jz7d.html
  9. If youi have a few days in Sydney, and you love wine, there are day trips from Sydney to the famous Hunter Valley. I did a quick Google search and came up with this one which has 5* reviews on Trip Advisor. https://www.huntervalleywinetastingtours.com.au/tours-from-sydney/ It is also a great way to get out of the Big Smoke and see the coutryside.
  10. I think I'm wrong. deleted Try again Barkly Homestead?
  11. It's a safety measure to remove obstructions in case of emergency evacuation not to mention the incovenience of them being in the way if you have a window seat and need to go to the lavatory.
  12. I'm at a stage where I've mostly run out of domestic ports as I am destination and port oriented. Good news, for me, is that international flight costs are coming down.
