  1. I’d be upset about this as well. The cabin you bid on is 271sq ft and they gave you one that’s 182 sq ft. That’s a lot of extra space you won’t get. I would reach out to Royalup and document your attempts. I hope they respond but if they don’t save copies of the confirmation email on the bid you made and a copy of the email for the wrong cabin you won. If they can’t help you on board (which I’m doubtful they’ll be able to) I’d dispute the charge on your credit card when you get home. Whatever happens don’t let it ruin your cruise but definitely don’t accept the charge!
  2. 😂it’s not like they haven’t been doing this for years and haven’t seen it all. They’d ask for your room number, enter the information see the names in the cabin and then then turn to the next couple and ask for their room number. I wouldn’t want to embarrass myself trying to skirt the rules but YMMV. It’s clearly stated when you book a JR suite that it’s only dinner reservations in CK depending on availability.
  3. It’s not like you can just walk in and go to a table. You have to check in at the podium where they ask you your room number.
  4. I had Covid at the beginning of August. I tested on day 5 and was still positive then I tested on day 8 and was negative so somewhere in between day 5-8.
  5. Sorry! The email is ticketing@rccl.com. I guess my age is catching up 😂
  6. I emailed rccl@ticketing.com and my issued was resolved in 2 days. I had called too but that was a waste of time.
  7. Try emailing ticketing@rccl.com. I recently did because I had my Set Sail pass but no edoc’s or luggage tags. I never heard back from them but after two days it was corrected. I had called customer service and they said they emailed someone but it never got fixed until I sent the email. I put the booking number in the subject and then within the email with an explanation of what I needed.
  8. Yes they’ll be in an envelope in their “mailbox” outside their door. They don’t give them out at check in anymore.
  9. It will be linked with their card and also with their Set Sail pass when they board before they get their cards which are now at the cabin doors when they’re ready. They do need to pick up their soda cup used at the freestyle machines from any bar.
  10. I have no experience with this deck but you are not under any venue. It looks like you’re under a walk way.
  11. Sounds like you’ve done a great job planning. Have a wonderful cruise! Bon Voyage 🛳
  12. I forgot to add that my favorite deck on Oasis is 8. It’s nice to use Central Park as a pass through. I usually book near the forward elevators.
  13. Why even ask? If you want food in the MDR then go eat there. Some people are high maintenance!
  14. I’ve had it happen on an Anthem sailing but not on Oasis.
  15. I would definitely switch from the connecting cabin. I think a non connecting ocean view cabin on decks 6-12 would be your best bet. They have a child lock on the balcony door you can use when you’re not out there supervising. I like to look at the deck plan and book a room that’s next to cabins that only hold 2 passengers and that don’t have cabin doors across the hall. That’s the best planning you can do. Then it’s luck that you don’t have loud obnoxious people next door. I wish you luck 🍀!
  16. But don’t give up if it’s not right at midnight. My last one opened up at 12:03am.
  17. I agree that she shouldn’t have but I saw lots of people on my last cruise that I didn’t think should be either. It’s still sad though and was actually her first cruise.
  18. That was last year and Plaxlovid wasn’t even option then. She was also 77 and appeared to have other commodities.
  19. I think someone may have taken your bag instead of their own. Hopefully when they get home and realize it they’ll contact RC and explain so they can get their own bag back. They can use Fed Ex or other services. The airlines have to send bags all the time that get delayed.
  20. Well that’s how it’s supposed to work. The ones of us without tags and like me without documents and tags is the problem. There’s a glitch somewhere but I’m not hopeful they’ll figure it out. I’ve got my Set Sail Pass and I can just carry on my luggage. I’m hoping not being issued the documents doesn’t become an issue at check in.
  21. I can’t blame the crew for wanting to still wear the mask. If they are still testing them and with this latest variant being so contagious I’d want to avoid quarantine too. I couldn’t imagine being stuck in one of those small cabins for 5 days or however long they make them. I heard that if you’ve never gotten Covid yet that this is the variant that is getting you and it sure has been true for my family and my extended family. We all had mild symptoms but most of us are now getting Covid for the first time. And have only masked when mandatory.
  22. I’m 18 days out and no edoc’s or luggage tags. I’ve called C&A and they’ve sent an email somewhere and said I’d have them in 48hrs. That’s today. I’m not holding my breath. The agent did give me an email address to follow up with if I don’t get my documents. It’s ticketing@rccl.com if anyone needs it.
