  1. Unless you have some sort of promotional fare, the upgrade cost is $50 pppd.(iirc) Makes no difference when you booķ it. BUT, it is possible that Princess might decide to increase the cost of the package at some time in the future. In your position, as you have decided to go for the PP deal (sensible move imho) I would book it now, and lock the price in.
  2. No problem at all. Obviously your cc will be charged in USD, so ideally you should use a card that does not charge for foreign transactions.
  3. And why post just three words in the UK forum ? If you are in fact posting about Sky Princess, post on the Princess forum. However, a word of advice. If you repeat your post word for word, you will get some unpleasant replies !
  4. Personally I always email the claim myself. That way I can be sure that it is done.
  5. Again, wrong. The address is benefits@princesscruises.co.uk
  6. That is wrong, as the OP is in the UK Correct address is benefits@princesscruises.co.uk
  7. Seems awful, but we went to the funeral of one of our neighbours today, and had a good time. Our neighbour was a lovely chap, full of fun, enjoyed a chat, socialising, organising events etc. An all round good bloke. Sadly, he was not so well in the last few months. So, a very nice "Humanist " service, and then to the pub for beer, sandwiches and chips, (and the odd tear). Lots of reminiscing, lots of laughter, and lots of sadness. God speed.
  8. And the time and cost involved in getting an Indian entry visa would put you off anyway !
  9. We got the full 200 (?) page book - brochure is hardly the word. But, we won't be looking at it until the end of next year. Can't see any point in committing early, as I think P&O, plus other cruise lines, will have to discount like mad with the oncoming recession. We'll stick with our two Brittania cruises next year, and wait and see.
  10. Judging by this thread, I think I'll give Virgin a miss. https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2885267-valiant-lady-french-daze-ibiza-nights-oct-9-16-2022-live/page/2/
  11. Just to say that the sister company of Princess, P&O (UK), no longer issue FCC for cabin confinement due to Covid. You have to claim off your insurance policy. No doubt Princess will follow in due course.
  12. Indeed. My plumber knows my last name. He even knows where I live ! Can't say I am too worried. There are a lot of paranoid people out there, who worry about their security, but quite happily post on a public forum !
  13. And also that each cabin is booked under a seperate booking reference. But, again, only if the cabins are seperate bookings.
  14. And even if you don't know the exact timings, if you book an independent excursion, all reputable companies will be aware of ship departure times.
  15. Isn't the correct answer, one shareholder credit per booking ?
  16. There is an interesting thread on the Princess board, comparing Virgin to Princess, which might be worth following.
  17. Because P&O do not allow you to pre-select specific cabins, only grades. Why ? Who knows.
  18. Why wait ? Contact the TA now, tell them the cabin(s) you want, and when they become available the TA will book the cabin for you, and call you back to confirm the cabin number and price, which will be the launch price. No need to even pay a deposit until your cabin number is confirmed. Much, much easier than booking direct.
  19. In my, admittedly limited experience, those regular cruisers with the highest loyalty status, tend to snap up the suites long before us lowly peons get a chance to book.
  20. One of the advantages of using a good TA. Tell them what cabins you want, and when reservations open, they will book one of them for you. Far better system than booking direct.
  21. Although CH, as usual, was in complete denial that RB had done anything wrong !
  22. Not sure who would buy them in the current environment, and certainly not at a price that would make economic sense for CCL.
  23. Interesting definition of long ? Surely anything under fourteen days is a short cruise, and anything over thirty days or so is long.
