I for one, do not want to commit so far out, given the way P&O have been dropping prices recently. If the deposit was £50, I might take a punt, but not at 5%.

How long are Princess going to keep banging on about the Love Boat ? Who cares ?

When my wife saw the prices on our recent cruise, her reaction was "you must be joking !" although rather more extreme than I am allowed to write here ! You also have to endure the hard sell trying to persuade you to buy assorted hair treatment products at the end of the appointment. The advice from my DW is to have your hair done before you go, and save yourself a fortune.

Sorry John - absolutely not my experience. Most bars have at least two bar tenders working, and at busy times, one would be dealing with the app orders, and the other would serve those who were ordering in person. The concept that Princess want to try and minimise commission, is, in my opinion Machiavellian in the extreme, and not supported by the physical evidence.

Thanks John. My questions were slightly academic, as we always seem to get late boarding times on P&O ! However, not having an MDR open for everyone seems unreasonable.

Seriously ? Pack your shoes with underwear, socks etc. They take up virtually no extra room whatsoever. And there is no way that a jacket, trousers and a shirt necessitates that much bigger suitcase.

Not really an issue, I would think. Your reservations will be cancelled 20 minutes after you don't show. Once you are on board, perhaps a call to the Dine Line to cancel all your MDR reservations might be appreciated. -

Distinct shortage of posts this afternoon (UK time) caused, I presume by the web site update. The information from admin was not exactly helpful. How many of us tried to report the problem via the link supplied, which was useless ? Hopefully, service will return to normal, and in future lessons will be learnt with regards to better communication. -
So, just to be clear, unlike Princess, where there is an MDR open, plus Alfredo's pizzeria, the only option for most pax is just the buffet ?

What difficulty ? Forward bookings for the traditional ships are extremely strong. Bookings for the two new ships less so. Seems to disprove your point.

Does that apply to luggage after Brexit ? I seem to rember reading that in Malta, you have to collect your luggage now.

I'm not aware of any new ships on the order book, are you ? We all are aware that Arcadia and Aurora are at risk, in the medium term, but the three remaing mid-size ships will continue as before.

I think the direction is clear for the large ships - I see no evidence of any change of direction on the rest of the fleet.

Surely one a week only applies to Iona and Arvia. All other ships normally have two per week. Jeans would not normally be considered suitable for formal nights, and you may be refused entrance to certain venues, such as the MDR.
