Pros: They're cool Cons: They're expensive I'd like to cruise in one but they don't seem worth anywhere near the price they've asked for them on my bookings

Yeah cruise loyalty programs are about the least valuable loyalty program imo and unless you’re getting free drinks it shouldn’t factor into your decision

They don't care who sleeps in what room

Our cruise last December dropped to almost half of what we originally paid for it by November. Went from an interior to a balcony and still got money back

Yeah we went to Izumi on the Odyssey where its located in the same place. The food was really good but it felt like you were eating it in the hallway (and some tables literally were)

I know it’s unpopular on these boards but this is part of the reason I don’t bother with third party travel insurance. I don’t book anything prepaid that I don’t have to (99% don’t make you, they just charge a slightly higher rate) and I have several premium travel credit cards that offer some forms of travel protections (trip delay reimbursement, baggage insurance, primary rental car insurance, etc)

Besides the platinum i have the other ones because they had good welcome bonuses and they’re only still open because they have no annual fee. i usually get the RCL offers but don’t have this one on any of my cards

more kids on board usually means more people overall because it means more rooms are probably at more than double occupancy

Virgin's target demographic isn't the same as Holland America's. Obviously elderly aren't unwelcome but they're not marketing to "Grans" with free HIIT classes and drag brunches

With college its hit or miss. I was on Odyssey during the SEC championship game. About 30 minutes before the game every seat was filled at playmakers. The bar staff told everyone it would be on. Suddenly the game starts and its nowhere to be found on the TVs. They don't get CBS onboard. They thought it would be on the SEC Network lol
