  1. Loved your review. We're on the Enchanted for three cruises beginning February 6. 30 days away from the cold Minnesota weather. We have Premier the first leg, then plus, then Premier again. Will probably upgrade the second leg to Premier. I've already booked our dinners at The Catch by Rudy. Once for Sabatini's. I've already begun packing. Hope your Covid wasn't too awful I did an Oceania cruise October to Europe and had Covid and missed 5 full days and had to stay in my cabin. Bummer.
  2. This is only the beginning of price increases across the board. Holland America just increased their daily gratuities, With the ships sailing full they can do pretty much anything. I still think cruising gives me a good value for my vacation dollars. Just wish they would work on the quality of their food in MDR and in buffet. For guests occupying suites, the daily gratuity charge will see an increase to US$19, marking a 9% rise from the previous rate of US$17.50. Non-suite accommodations will experience a 6% adjustment, with daily rates moving from US$16 to US$17 effective February 1st on Holland America.
  3. When did they take the bar out of the casino? We were on about 10 months ago and bar was still there.
  4. There are excellent whale watching excursions you can book with an independent tour group.
  5. It was close to full occupancy, but I think it was in my favor. They really want to sell every cabin and interior is less costly and easier to get sold at last minute. I've almost always gotten an upgrade on guarantee. Might be in same type of cabin and upgraded category.
  6. Last February while on Enchanted I had a guaranteed interior and was assigned a obstructed balcony on mid ship Emeral Deck. Thing is - balcony wasn't really obstructed at all. Sometimes booking a guarantee works out better than if you actually had an assigned cabin.
  7. Things that I like (love) about Princess (20+cruises with Princess):. We have previously cruised on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Oceania, Viking, Celebrity and Disney. Overall our best experience was on Oceania but we can take 2 cruises onPrincess for the one on Oceania. 1) Employees - Always helpful and very willing to help. 2) Comfortable beds. 3) Good Spirits Bar 4) Crooners Bar 5) Variety of choices for eating 6) Afternoon Teas 7) Sanctuary 9) Fellow cruisers - generally in older range 10) Room stewards 11) Itineraries 12) Plus and Premier packages 13) Medalion App Things I don't like (no real deal breakers) 1) Art auctions 2) Pushy spa promotions 3) Piazza noise - way too loud 4) Soap in staterooms 5) Hair products in stateroom 6) Hair dryers in staterooms
  8. The one time I tried to download a book on my Kindle while outside the U.S. Kindle had an additional charge for downloading out of the U.S. That was more than 4 years ago so it may have changed since then. Best thing is to download before leaving home.
  9. You may want to check out the full suites especially if they include the 3rd and 4th free. The suites are way less expensive on the Regal out of Galveston. I booked a full suite with 4 people and total cost was under $8,000 and that included Princess Plus for all 4. I went through the big box company and will also get a 465 gift card from them.
  10. Formal wear is not required in the MDR. You can choose to dress up or not. Very few people wear shorts and I have seen them denied admittance, but I have also seen them allowed in. If you want to dress up that's up to you. My husband generally wears a nice pair of pants and a collared shirt. I rarely wear a dress. I usually wear pants or capris with a nice blouse. . It makes for a much lighter suitcase.
  11. If you haven't sailed on Princess in 10 years how can you give an accurate description of the entertainment, room accommodations and overall on board experience?
  12. Below information is contained in your trip travel summary. If you have made independent flight arrangements and have not booked Princess Vacation Protection, please contact the Princess En Route Desk so they can inform the ship of your delays. Princess En Route Desk Contact Info: Within the U.S. or Canada, please call 1-800-545-0008. Outside of the U.S. or Canada, please call 1-661-284-4410. Within Australia, please call 13 24 88.
  13. I'm on a B2B2B on Enchanted in 5 weeks. The new app shows Plus for first segment - our Travel Document shows Premier. Second segment nothing showing - we chose plus. Third segment we chose Premium and nothing shows. Again Travel Documents are correct on all three segments.
  14. What's the approximate cost of an Uber from Port Canaveral to Airport?
  15. Total time off the ship can vary. I've had to wait as long as three hours. Generally, about 1 hour. and yes, you must get off the ship. You can stay in the terminal. They usually have excursions available if you don't want to wait. They will also give you a transfer ticket should you chose to leave the ship and go out and about in Fort Lauderdale. Quite a few restaurants and a Walgreens close to the terminal.
  16. Ships have been sailing almost at capacity in the Caribbean. Hopefully, 2 months would be plenty of time to get better. Good luck with your surgery.
  17. I'm sorry my palette is not up to yours. Sometimes after being on the ship for a while the food is so rich I just crave a "such things." If you've never had it on board ship then you really do need to try it. If you don't like you can always get something else. Happy sailing.
  18. I don't know if this is true but I've heard that they are somehow able to determine your temperature when you are in the terminal. This happened to me when I was in Europe in October while on an Oceania cruise.
  19. If you're entitled to get a mini bar setup in your cabin will it be done after getting to international waters?
  20. Any chance that you could save this file in a PDF format?
  21. I would go ahead and do the OV if it was only 65 per person.
  22. I just completed the on line app. I skipped through most of the input until it asked for the investment company information. It then brought me to the logon for my WF account and I logged in via the WF app which connected with the Plaid account. I was able to limit the information on my WF account to the investment only information. One thing that I could not do was requesting stockholder credit for cruises which begin after July 31, 2024. Not sure if this is because they are no longer going to give s/h credit or if they don't want to approve this early in the event you sell your stock between now and then. I really wish Princess had given us a bit more information as to how this works and what if any privacy concerns that may come up. Not sure what the problem was with the old way it was done.
