  1. We were on Wonder in Jan for a b2b and two stops at CC. WJ is open. No specialty restaurants are until dinner time. MDR only for breakfast (short time) and dinner. El Loco Fresh from what I remember didn't open until about 3 pm. Some bars are open but can't remember which ones.
  2. Emergency response in a lot of these islands isn't very quick even when there is no strike. This is another frivolous lawsuit. They obviously didn't research the port at all. Strikes of all kinds are very common there.
  3. Do you realize how many criminals they haven't imprisoned that are already running free? We've been going to Labadee since about 2010 and have never felt unsafe. Hassled by vendors, yes, unsafe, no. Haiti has been an almost lawless country for years. Every time the US says not to travelto Haiti someone starts a "sky is falling" thread. Labadee is heavily guarded.
  4. If you feel unsafe, don't go. It's that simple. Do you know how the roads are there? lol. It's not a paved highway by a long shot.
  5. I don't think some understand exactly where Labadee is in relation to the really populated areas and how far it i from Port Au Prince. It's 130 miles.
  6. Mine never changed. I never tested except to cruise and only got the first three shots. I know a lot of people who did the same. Not sure what your point is anyway.
  7. Cruise lines don't require testing. People have already been following similar protocols on their own. The cruise line only knows if you go to medical and tell them. I don't know if they even have tests in medical anymore. It's no different than the flu and these new protocols have been talked about for a while. Last time I was sick I didn't test for anything. Most ER's and Dr's don't bother testing. They've been telling people if you're sick, stay home.
  8. They also drag their kids around the ship late into the night for some reason not understanding that kids need more sleep than adults do. We were talking to CD Bobby on EN last year near spring break and he and the crew absolutely dread when there are a lot of kids onboard. 700 on EN last time we were on during SB. He said so many come onboard, and let their kids do whatever they want. The crew is afraid to say anything because these same parents are the ones that go ballistic if anyone says anything to them or their kids about the behavior. Anyway, on Wonder in Jan, we saw mostly really good behavior. But, there's always a few. And, we saw quite a few very small kids falling asleep on their parents or overly tired. Just take them back to the cabin and put them in bed. Geez. You have to sacrifice some things when you have children.
  9. Yes, Wonder has the escalators also.
  10. I did make a comment loud enough for everyone to hear that it really hurt my knee to deal with a bouncing bridge. A lot of those parents will deal with the same issues when they get older (happens faster than they think).
  11. It's usually 30min or less after arrival for gangway opening. Our experience is in most ports, we arrive earlier than the projected time and the gangway is open close to original arrival time. But, it's best to give at least 1/2 hour after scheduled arrival time. Also, the tour providers all know when the ships come in and when they start debarking.
  12. We did the aviary for the first time in Jan. My knee doesn't love the rope bridge but the bigger issue is the people that stop on the bridge and hang out/take multiple selfies. I need to be able to hold onto both sides when I cross. And, it doesn't help when kids jump on the bridge.
  13. Someone who is currently on Spectrum posted on FB that it's already showing on Spectrum's schedule on the app. It's on the Crown and Anchor Society Lounge FB page. The "article" linked is on the RC Blog which correctly reports RC items all the time. And, yes, before someone points it out, Spectrum is in Asia.
  14. Someone who is currently on Spectrum posted on FB that it's already showing on Spectrum's schedule on the app and is on the RCblog (I know it's not an official blog but they do report correct info all the time). She posted a screen shot of the dining times on the app and it shows 3. And, yes, I know Spectrum is in Asia currently. We're on Vision in 35 days and there are no dining times listed in the app.
  15. I bring small travel size bottles of shampoo and conditioner when I travel, but don't always use them. We always stay in JS (and we're over 340 pts) so we get it automatically. The Salt +Breeze are actually pretty good products and I use them most of the time. At home, I use salon products most of the time.
  16. That's an expensive way to make/receive a phone call.
  17. Only one person who posts on CC knows who I am and she is no threat lol. Most on here are the same. We're not talking asking someone in person. People ask questions to understand how things should/could be done.
  18. We saw two in Jan when we were in PC just after our Wonder b2b. As for the garage, our friends who live on Merritt Island dropped us off at the terminal and kept our car at their house and then picked us up so I don't know how they handled it then.
  19. In the Centrum on ships don't have a promenade. Also, sometimes just outside the WJ.
  20. We've had passports for decades. More than worth the cost.
  21. I didn't say they wouldn't give any help but the cruise line is under no obligation to do so. There have been posts by people who did miss their ship and while they got some help sometimes, it was on them to figure out their visa/passport issues. The cruise line can't apply for an emergency passport, only the traveler can. Either way, it's not the same as someone whose cruise is interrupted due to a death in the family. When someone misses the ship, that's usually on them. Ships can and do leave people standing on the pier. If they were really obligated, they could pull back in and pick them up, but they don't. Anyway, my real point was that you get a lot more help when it's an emergency situation than when it's a stupidity one.
  22. Those posts are sometimes about people who miss the ship which is a whole other thing. The cruise line is under no obligation to get you home if you get back too late to make ship's movement.
