  1. True, very early and it won't have been serviced yet. I've watched many people empty the grounds, add beans and even fill the milk container. Even during the day, on some sailings, they can't keep up with the numbers of cups being made. The staff that maintains it aren't in there all the time.
  2. How does your opinion trump real experience? Just asking for a friend. You never did answer the price question so my "opinion" is you were guessing. None of this is the point anyway. Our experience is that there won't be a lot of upper tier as there never are on the Bahamas itinerary (or the Bermuda one). Anyway, anyone else have any new experience with the lounge access?
  3. We bring at least 150 in ones but we get 5 "free" drinks each and tip for each one. I always figure at least $50-75/day for incidentals. Do we bring money home? Yes, but we also don't have to use an ATM that costs several dollars. I also keep what's left for our next cruise.
  4. First, how do you know what the prices were? Second, we're in a JS and there aren't a lot of those. My entire point is our actual, real experience having done this itinerary several times. As I said, every time we've done it in April, our weather has been warm and beautiful.
  5. We've done this itinerary several times including a couple over spring break (so glad not this time 700 kids on a ship that holds 2500 people is not fun). We've cruised on Vision class out of Baltimore 14 times. The 12 night is the most popular with the most top tier. The 8 night and the 5 night Bermuda tend to have quite a bit less. One 5 night to Bermuda in 2022, at 400 something points we were #3 onboard and were asked to go on stage behind the two Pinns. Our experience on an April SE coast cruise is the weather has been great. Charleston weather has been beautiful. PC, we generally don't get off anymore but it's usually pretty warm. It's been shorts weather every time we've done the SE coast cruise in April. Who said the price was low?
  6. Patiently waiting for the change we know is coming as there are more and more reports of the "temporary" change on multiple cruises. We're on Vision in about 7 weeks for a b2b but as they are two 8 night Bahamas/SE coast cruises, we may not see the limits then as that itinerary doesn't attract as many upper tiers unless it becomes permanent. When we made D there was the "Diamond event" with no food except bar mix and when we made D+, we did get into CL's on ships that had them (mainly Vision class) and now that we're 65 pts from Pinn, who knows lol. We just roll with it as we cruise to cruise and tiers just come with it.
  7. Already has since it's not called the DL anymore. I also agree with many who say there's a reason it's the Crown Lounge now.
  8. Will you stay in a hotel? You never know what went on in a hotel room in the past. While 3/5 homes we've owned have been brand new, two have been "used" by one previous owner. Even though I know there was no previous death in either one, it really doesn't matter. Heck, the land your "new" home is built on could have a history you wouldn't like.
  9. My DH heard there was a death onboard. It's not uncommon. As for the Allure, that happened a while ago. From what I can find, it was in Nov.
  10. Not like there are any other threads about it.
  11. People rearrange chairs all over the ship. If a group wants to sit together and talk, then that's their choice as long as they don't block walkways. They probably all know each other already.
  12. We've always said we won't wear our pins all the time once we get to that point. We've seen people wearing them everywhere onboard and off (Labadee and CC). Our friends who we cruised with back in Oct/Nov only wore theirs for events and in the lounge. We all joked about some even wearing them on their pj's.
  13. On Jewel on our b2b Oct/Nov Bayonne to Quebec City cruise, there was a long line every morning, but then, there were a lot of D and above onboard. Like half the ship lol.
  14. Royal never did them. We cruised in Nov 2021 and only a neg test was required.
  15. This is not a RCI issue. It's a CBP one. Writing to Michael Bayley won't do anything. If you don't have the correct documentation, that is on you.
  16. Sometime in early 2025 is what I've seen. https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Allure-of-the-Seas-refurbishment
  17. That's an expensive way to eat a veggie. We went on Wonder last month. We actually had a reservation for each week of our b2b but we cancelled the second one. It just wasn't that great. They also undercooked my veal and DH's tenderloin. He asked for medium, it came out medium rare to rare. I asked for medium well and it was medium at best. Overall, the meal just wasn't as good as our previous experience on Harmony a couple of years ago.
  18. They have done the coffee vouchers and still do occasionally. We've been on a couple of ships where the coffee machine didn't work and we got coffee vouchers. We do use our drink vouchers for coffee and gasp, occasionally for water. We also never use all 5 each. We've only used all 5 one time and that was a day we got fresh squeezed oj at breakfast. Use them however you like, but it's not a waste even if you don't use them if you don't need to.
  19. It looks better in person than in photos so I actually do like it. It's just so different than the rest we have.
  20. We went to Cabo years ago (2007) on Dawn Princess. We followed a hurricane that had just left the area. Rocky ride on the ship's lifeboats and the humidity was horrendous. We walked around and went to Cabo Wabo for lunch. Got our bill in Pesos and at the time the dollar was very strong so the pesos added up quick. The police all had on bandolier's holding their ammo and were carrying large weapons in Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Very different than what you see in Cozumel and Costa Maya. Haven't been back to the Mexican Riviera since.
  21. Something I mentioned in a previous post except that now it's limited to a certain number (top 20 or 30) instead of not allowing them at all.
  22. They already use overflow areas even with restricted access. On Jewel, the entire VCL was used as overflow and at times in the evening, there were no seats open.
