  1. Except for wine like Beringer White Zinfandel which retails for between $5-$7 a bottle. Onboard, it's over $30. I don't drink it. But, it is way overpriced onboard.
  2. It doesn't have to take anywhere near 10 years. Pretty sure we made D in about 4. Also, with double points that was offered last year, we did a 20 night b2b in a JS and got 80 points. There had to be a few families that made D quickly with the double point incentive. We're now 157 points away from Pinn. Prior to the restart we were just over 350.
  3. I'm 62 and I do not use/look at TikTok, ever. I do, however, read all kinds of things online. I've seen it posted on many sites, everything from FB to this site and others.
  4. A scanned signature is accepted on documents for many things so why not a photo of a BC?
  5. Our passports are always in my laptop tote that goes on every trip with us. If we're going somewhere we don't need our passports, I leave them on our coffee table in our family room until we get back when they immediately go back in the bag. I don't have to think, "now where did I put them"? I have always said, if we have our passports, at least we can get on the ship. A few years ago, we were in Baltimore and had entered through the suite entrance where they feed you in after they check your paperwork to the security line. We were a couple of people back so we were waiting. An older couple came in the regular line and she starts frantically looking through her bag and he was getting angry with her and she was in tears. We could only assume they didn't have their passports or bc's. We didn't see how it played out as we went through security at that point and onto check in. We didn't see them again and since GR is such a small ship, we usually see a lot of the same people. It doesn't mean they didn't get onboard, but they were both really upset last we saw them.
  6. What I want back is the ability to select it myself online. We have enough tote bags and towels. Currently for 7+ day cruises we get three bottles of wine.
  7. An original doesn't need anything as it's the 'original" from the county. It has to be "certified", not "notarized". So, a copy of a certified BC apparently works. Certified just means it's official.
  8. This has been the subject of several threads over the years. I thought everyone who cruised knew it. I avoid buying anything with pineapples on it lol.
  9. I couldn't drink it and I wasted a free drink on it. To me, it tastes horrible. I wonder what they mean by a "contemporary twist".
  10. Hey, but they paid for their vacation so they're entitled to use those machines lol.
  11. Pretty sure she was thinking about the old pull off tabs.
  12. Some crew count on the gullibility of some cruisers. No one is starving, geez.
  13. They just spread out the thickness. So, instead of everything being lined up right next to each other, they are tiered. It saves some space, but not as much as some think.
  14. Nasty lol? Because I stated something different than you did? What exactly is nasty about me stating my experience/reality? What exactly are you talking about that I left out? I responded to your response to my quote. Your entire reseponse.
  15. That doesn't mean 90% of all people do. 90% of the people I know personally do not work remotely so there's that. I'd love to know what these families traveling with 4 or 5 people do that they can afford to do this trip.
  16. For us, on a 7 night cruise, it's usually around day 3 or 4. We've asked for our free D+ bag and had no issue getting it on another day (esp on longer cruises or b2b's) Don't know if the $35 bag works that way.
  17. We've only made the one claim in 35 cruises. AON was very easy to work with for us.
  18. We used them in late summer 2019. I had an accident and dislocated my kneecap and ankle and fractured my fibula. My Orthopedic surgeon did his part and filled out what he needed to. DH did the rest and we had a full refund within a few weeks. We had already paid in full as it was past the final payment date and got it all, in increments. Port taxes, fees and prepaid things directly from RCI, the rest came from AON in full. We were pleased with how it worked out. This next calendar year, we have purchased Allianz but that's because we have two b2b's so 4 cruises and it's cheaper with more coverage through them.
  19. We leave our cabin very neat, nothing on the floor except our backpack and computer bag and neat desk area. Clothes are never left strewn around. Everything is either hanging, in a drawer or dirty in the pop up hamper we bring. But, I rarely make my bed at home so why would I make it on a cruise? Our house is also very neat, outside of DH"s office lol.
  20. Yes. Boarding pass just says "suite". We've been on HOTS, EN and Jewel in the last 13 months and all had suite on our boarding pass for JS. We're always in a JS and have always boarded with suites.
  21. We were on Jewel in Nov. We had the first check in time and within about 3 minutes of leaving the counter, they started announcing boarding. Suites, Pinnacles, D+ and D were announced. After that they started announcing times which was funny because first boarding was 12 and they started with 1030 lol. It was 12 because it was the first cruise after a TA. So, unless you check in before boarding starts, you will end up boarding with the masses.
