  1. The onus is on the guest to not broadcast their cruise details. Once the information is put out there, others can use that information for nefarious purposes. The easy access was granted by broadcasting the information. If the woman's warning is to not give out details to the world, that would be a plus.
  2. There's a good reason why Carnival shouldn't return her money and only offer FCC. Step 1. Book a standard balcony. Step 2. Have my best friend book the best/largest suite on the ship for $10K. Step 3. Have "someone" hack my friend's account and cancel his suite a few days before the cruise. Step 4. Swoop in and get an upgrade from my balcony to the suite for a total (balcony plus upgrade) that is less than $10K. Step 5. My best friend gets a full $10K refund. If allowed, think of how many people would do it.
  3. The humidity isn't as bad when the retractable roof is open but even then, it can still be pretty humid in there.
  4. That feeling might by psychological. Based on square footage, the Yacht Club doesn't actually take up much space compared to the common areas of the ship. Doing complete outdoor laps is a feature that is slowly disappearing from new ship builds. Even without the restaurant seating areas, the Aurea section towards the front is blocked off for most people. If it prevents the "...king of the world/... I'm flying, Jack" moments from Titanic, I support blocking the bow area.
  5. Reminds me of..... "We booked on the Presidential Excel suite. For those of you who don't travel or cruise a whole lot, it is the biggest room on the Carnival Celebration Ship.” I'm waiting for the post from the person who got the sweet suite upgrade because of the last minute cancellation.😈
  6. Are the gummies shaped like ammunition? 🤣
  7. You can also click on the link below for some information.... https://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising
  8. 99.9% of the time, you will receive your luggage well before dinner.
  9. The thread below did mention A/C and bathroom issues on Breakaway....
  10. I'm thankful, too. I hadn't seen (or noticed) the option at all. I was too focused on the walk-in closet details.
  11. It seems that the "sleeps 5" staterooms can have a pullman in the ceiling or an ottoman for the 5th guest.
  12. This seemed like a (common for MSC) communication issue. The left hand (land customer service) and the right hand (ship customer service) didn't coordinate properly. The service onboard isn't always perfect but it is considerably better than the lip service that you get on land.
  13. Even after all of these years and 3,264,399 posts on the subject, there are still people who are unaware of the bathtube situation on Epic. 😉
  14. The view forward from deck 9 will mostly be a view of the bow of the ship. For a better view, go higher. For a larger stateroom, select one of the **700 staterooms.
  15. It's understood that many people have shared without an issue. However, many people have been denied and the guests without a SDP were charged the full cost. When the question comes up on the forum, it's best to make it clear that sharing or transferring a meal package is not allowed. If the server allows it or looks the other way, that's fine but it shouldn't be expected to happen every time. "SDPs are personal (per person, e.g., 2 guests cannot share 1 SDP meal) and non-transferable (guests cannot give their SDP meals to someone else). " - Terms & Conditions
  16. Your example is more of an exception than the rule. Towards the end of the cruise, there's more leniency with these sort of things. As explained above, the reason that sharing isn't generally allowed (even when purchased) is because the cost per meal goes down as the number of meals goes up. One person buying 12 meals and dividing with three other people is less expensive than if all four each bought a 3SDP. NCL would lose money if the one person bought 12 meals and shared.
  17. There is someone at the bridge but that is to limit access to the Yacht Club areas. If you don't want to cross the bridge, you can swim across the lagoon. 😁
  18. Consider yourself lucky. Some people booked Prima and thought that they had a hot tub on their balcony only to find out later that their balcony doesn't have a hot tub....no compensation at all.
  19. UDP (unlimited number) became 4SDP (4 uses) around 2015ish. We sailed in 2016 and we had UDP, some had 4SDP, and some had 3SDP after NCL reduced from 4 to 3 within a few months after dropping from unlimited to 4.
  20. I remember a 50% discount at FR for lunch but I've never been offered a discount of any kind for dinner at any specialty restaurant.
  21. Website issues (beyond the usual) have been going on for a little bit. There are lots on empty spaces where there should be cruises. Mine are missing, too. Neither cruise is on Meraviglia so it isn't just your ship.
  22. The only actual "PrivaSea" balconies on Joy are the Haven Suites directly under the bridge (13108/13708). An angled balcony being labeled as "PrivaSea" doesn't mean anything other than being another mistake on a NCL deck plan.
  23. Substituting the PBP promo for the soda package promo isn't an option unless you are under 21 years-old. Well, it depends on how you look at it. If NCL had already earmarked part of your fare to cover some of the PBP, NCL came out ahead. The fact that you purchased the soda package swings it even more in NCL's favor.
