Is anyone aware as to whether someone with a felony record is allow to go on a cruise? Would the cruise line deny someone? My partner committed a crime years ago, before sobriety entered his life, He is not on probation but a felony charge would show up on a background check.
I was going to just call Carnival and ask but unfortunately, I am not sure I trust a customer service representative with such an important question that if answered incorrectly, could cause us to be declined entry on to the ship.
Thank you to anyone who has some insight, it is greatly appreciated.
WOW!! You can't trust a customer service professional, but you trust the word of unknown keyboard warriors? Amazing.

New Cruiser here and have a read a few posts regarding the FTTF. I just purchased for our cruise on Victory in March. I see that you have priority boarding behind Diamond and Platinum folks and it gives me a 12-1 time even before I picked a time? I am assuming I need to arrive at the time on the ticket and secondly, are there other benefits? Impulse purchase this morning...
Thanks,

12-1 time is for CHECK-IN ONLY, meaning when you are allowed into the terminal to check-in. Boarding comes later.
IMHO, I would arrive slightly later (especially the weather is bad), so that you can walk right in, past all the others waiting outside in line for their allotted times.

Port or Starboard doesn't matter. If something is on the opposite side on the way north, it will be on your side on the way south.....generally.
-
PORT side obviously!! just kidding. Each docking is different, for each ship, in every port, every time. You pays your money, you takes your chances.
-
Yep. Changed from February 2018 St. Martin, St. Kitts, San Juan & Turks to September 2018 Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Roatan, Cozumel.
$50 per person change fee.

FYI.....Drive time from PNS to port of Mobile is just over an hour.
-
Island of San Juan? I’m going to assume you mean the island of Puerto Rico, and the city of San Juan.
-
Just because not much is being reported by the main stream media, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Not everyone wants or needs publicity or a pat on the back.

Google maps is your friend. 11 minute walk according to them, Hilton to Fulton. Dragging luggage may add time.
-
Did you look on the actual Carnival web site? Info direct from them on their changes just seems better than all the guesses from CC.
-
How long does it take to get from Mobile port to the Gulf?
-
Sometimes you get lucky on course changes due to weather. We missed 2 Bahama stops and Key West a year or so ago because of a storm. Went to Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozemel. Much better stops IMHO.

This is akin to looking for the best boiled crawfish in Omaha. You can limit yourself to a single dish, found at few places, or enjoy some of the best cuisine in the world in dozens of New Orleans restaurants.
Thank You! Oh so accurate! Best laugh I have had in days.

Following this, we'll be riding her in February.

If I ever won a piece of shiponastick, I would give it to the nearest child. Don't want any dust collectors in the house.

How about when leaving them outside the cabin door the night before disembarkation, has anybody ever not found them in the pickup area off the ship?
Yep, Port Canaveral. 3 bags went to 3 different locations. Took about 30 minutes to find all of them.
All tags still attached. Took shuttle to the car, and set my carry-on backpack down in the parking lot to load the luggage in the car. 8 hour drive later, realized backpack was missing. Shuttle people were great, and got it shipped home to me. Nothing missing.

We booked a cruise on the Carnival Liberty for next April. I see online that there is an option for on-line check-in and I had a few questions. 1. When should I complete the on-line check in? Can I do it now, even though we are 200+ days from Crusing? 3. Is on-line check in where you choose your time to get on the ship? 4. We would like to get on the ship as early as possible, so should we check-in now to get an early time?
A lot of things have changed in the 10 years since we cruised Carnival, so I'm sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, I'm sure I'll have more coming!
just remember, check in means check in to the terminal, not the ship.

4 day scheduled for May 3, 2018. Did you scroll down to see all cruises?
Tampa to Cuba, and return to Tampa. No extra ports.
-
Noticed this. We're on the Dream July 16th out of NOLA. Not the best news but hoping the disturbance turns north at some point and the Gulf stays sunny and calm.
We had that luck on dream last year. Instead of Key West and Bahamas, we re-routed to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. WooooHooooo. Much better ports.

Get a cabin in the middle of the ship. Do not get a cabin on the first 3 floors on the rear of the ship, lots of vibration from the propellers.
We have been on deck 8, aft extended cabin, 8 day cruise. Didn't notice any more vibrations than when we had deck 9 forward port side cabin.
-
Dream takes about 8 hours to exit Mississippi River after departing the dock. Mobile isn't on the Gulf either, but no idea how long it takes to exit the river and Mobile Bay.
-
You can't plan for every contingency. Last week, a cruise ship was 2 hours late docking because a passenger had a medical emergency, and had to be airlifted off the ship. Who plans for that? Good luck.
-
Maybe try looking on website for each cruise line?
-
No guarantee ever to dock at scheduled time. Rare occurrence, but.... Check Carnival Pride, docking 2 hours later than scheduled due to emergency medical problem of one of their passengers, having to be air-evaced off the ship.
Easiest and cheapest way to get from airport to cruise terminal in New Orleans?
