Why does it seem like at every turn, Princess wants to treat Elites like first timers? HELLO PRINCESS! AREN'T ELITES YOUR MOST LOYAL CUSTOMERS?

What happened to the first vid? It was video'd by a passenger onboard, and seemed to show impact. Was it removed for some reason?

Our friends are onboard, and local as well. So their happy for 7 days vs. none. They had been enjoying their time, and gotten off a couple times before ship set sail. They were actually Hoping lots of folks were getting off, to give them more of a lighter load feel. I understand... we all got a little spoiled with many cruises at 50-60% capacity the past few years. Allision....collision.... My untrained eyes thought the Fwd tug was pushing, when it should have been pulling. Looked to me like it pushed too far, and BAM. I didn't see the footage before, of the other docking attempt. Many times I"ve been up early onboard, to watch docking happen, especially in SF. I've never experienced a Do-over like that. Just curious..... WHO tells the Tugs what to do? And where/how to maneuver? Is direction coming from the Captain? Pilot? Somebody else? And will the Tugs have any 'splainin to do??

Was on a couple months ago, and several times over the past couple years.... Ruby seems the same to us, hasn't changed much. My biggest complaint is the very smokey casino. And all the people who go in there to stand around, or sit around to smoke, NOT play.... and crew says nothing. Ever.

Totally agree with you! If those were all steps? Makes climbing Leaning tower of Pisa look like stepping up a curb.

Agree with Roxie. Think I mentioned this earlier, my relative who earns around 7,000 points on last cruise.... now gets offers from Princess casino for balcony & $400 freeplay. No plus perks like before. I average alot more than that, so getting Plus about half of the time now. When I DO get a casino offer that includes all the bells & whistles? Those are the ones I book. The others expire. Also, Come back & Play offers.... I've been able to book those a couple days after your cruise ends. Haven't had a 20 day wait like mentioned above. I also haven't had any luck booking a cruise After the book by, or sail by dates. They have been pretty strict about that.

Bummed about the 2 Street Tacos! Adios! geez I enjoyed those for many lunches.

Hello, yes, thanks for reminder. It was a nice day, breezy to windy. We lucked out... first we are Elite and were in the Earliest boarding group. There were 2 Ladies who worked the Lines making sure everyone was in the correct Group! This was the first time I've seen that at work... Then we had to wait in line and wait and wait, well past when we were Suppose to start being let in. 30 mins maybe. All the while guests with luggage coming from every direction, and many attempting to Stand near the pair of ladies so they could Line jump. Lines got Very Long. ALL of them. Once we got inside, we were in the first 10 people to checkin. That part went quickly. I always pickup my Medallion at the pier, and it went like clockwork as usual. Then we headed over to wait in elite area. Not fond of their "elite" lounge. It was the bare minimum what I would call Elite lounge. Dark in a corner, typical not alot of chairs and not much being served. (thinking total opposite of San Diegos Elite lounge waiting area which is nicer) But main point, IF you will be boarding from Pier 35? Do your best to get Earliest boarding time! Arrive on the early side so you are in Correct Line, before boarding starts or you Will be waaaaaay down the street.

You will be happy to know, my new CVP was also able to book my Come back & Play offer (from the ship) a couple days ago. It was actually a better offer (included Plus perks) than some other offers I've gotten lately from Princess casino dept. For anyone who doesn't have a CVP (Cruise Vacation Planner) yet? You can request one by calling 1-800-901-1172 🤩

No.. leave them on the bus.....the bus is for your group and goes with you. We only carry a purse or small backpack. Everything else we don't want to carry around, stays on the bus.

You didn't mention what your Come back & Play offer was for? Also, may be too soon to get offers from Princess casinos.... If you don't receive anything in the near future? Call casino# and Ask if any are listed? There could always be an issue with your email. I've had that happen & took forever to fix, should have been simple. A relative of mine played about your denom and it took a few months to receive offers, but shes been averaging Balcony & $400 FP offers since. However, Not the Plus perks. I have 5-6 offers to book in my batch, but I continue to Only book those that include Plus perks! I get those about 50% of the time now, instead of 100%. It looks as though Princess wants us to Forget our offers used to include Plus ? YMMV but I don't plan to give in. We Want Our Plus Perks Included.

Sorry you had to go thru that mess. Skagway is one of the places we don't book anything, No tours, just walk the town. Therefore we can leave the ship later, when lines die down, No hurry. The Main street area (Broadway) is so easy, just walk down one side to Bites on Broadway... say Hi to the owners, and get a Cheese biscuit (sooooo Good). Then we walk down the other side of the street....Hit Wells Fargo if need more cash, Post office to mail anything, and end with souvenir shopping at the large store before we get back on the ship. Lather rinse repeat, past decade. ☺️

I have gotten down to only One cruise later this year, so its time to book again. I have been putting off this chore for months, and watching offer after offer expire. So I bit the bullet to try booking with a Princess cruise vacation planner. Heres my experience booking a Casino COMP cruise with new CVP…. I had actually spoken with her months ago, but she was unable at that time, to book for me. Contacted her recently, and Yes a Cvp CAN book your Comp cruises now. (I have had No experience with Discount casino cruises) I sent CVP an email with all the details of cruise we wanted to book. Date, Ship, Casino offer Campaign code, etc. I even had a Cabin# picked out that was showing available. Cvp first booked FOR me, and sent me an email Confirmation. But I noticed it was for a Guarantee cabin, and Not the cabin# I wanted? Also, her cost was almost $200 more than I saw online.😲 So we played telephone tag, but what ended up happening…. I went online to book thru my Emailed casino Offer, and booked cruise myself, including picking a Cabin. It was Not easy because when it asked me to Log in to complete info? It would Not let me complete it, or save it? I had to Back Out of booking (after I had logged in). Once I went back in? My info was IN the registration, I was able to SAVE it, and go to Second Guest registration. (Good ole Princess website🤦‍♂️) Once the online Offer booking was completed, I got to the end, where it said Pay now, or Hold. Like I said, my Pay Now amount was Less than Cvp. So I hit HOLD. Called her back immediately. She was then able to complete booking, and emailed me the New Confirmation#. I paid the Lower online cost, and got the Cabin I wanted!🤩 then, I wanted to make sure our Princess Plus Comp offer perks were added to the Rez? Yes, it was. I confirmed by looking at (Luggage) Travel Summary on my Princess account. All the Plus perks were added separately for each of us. But, my Freeplay was Not listed? So I will need to call back about that…. so Check your Travel Summary and Print it. Make sure its all there. Just wanted to let you know my experience with a new CVP. Its a whole lot better in the long run for me, than going thru the casino Call Center. Call center was a deal breaker for me. I had nothing but mistakes & headaches working with them. Good luck with your bookings! And remember to SAVE your online Email offers to book them when youre ready.

Most AK towns the ships go to are walkable. If you can bring a stroller? That would be easy to do on your own. Or rent a car with a carseat. Easier to get around on your own and less exposure for your baby. You really don't need to book excursions and be subjected to buses and lots of humans. If you have questions about a particular town? Ask away....

Yes! That is the correct # and was told they Will book casino COMP offers as well. I was able to request a CVP, so will be booking an offer soon. Thank you emmak8

Can I ask HOW you got a Cvp for Casino COMP bookings? What # did you call? I have inquired in the past on CC, but didn't get a straight answer. I'm not asking for names... just want to know how we can get a cvp for Casino Comps? I've tried and struck out, was told they can't do that. Thanks
