Same for Premium Water
Thanks Jim! I thought premium water wasn’t included in the classic but then started to doubt myself while reading this thread.

Please share the date and ship - I can’t find that offer anywhere. Is it a casino offer or another kind of special offer? YC suites typically are between 5 and 6 thousand dollars for 2.
Not a casino offer. MSc seascape, Galveston March 2026. I will add that it looks like prices have increased by $200 pp since we booked. Also, they offer a 10% military/civil service discount of which we took advantage. We booked a YC interior stateroom which is the entry level YC category. Rooms are smallish but with so much outdoor space available in the YC complex, we have not missed having a balcony.

Thanks for the reference. I just started pricing MSC Yacht Club and I was surprised at the reasonable pricing. I will have to give them a shot!
In my opinion, Yacht Club is the only way to go if you give MSC a try. The ships are big and draw a very European clientele, which we enjoy a lot. We attended a wine tasting in the wine cellar and were the only English speakers there, besides the sommelier. Turns out food and wine speak a universal language and we had a ball making new friends. BUT, the YC club offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the ship. Service is outstanding and food isn't too shabby either. All YC bookings include premium drink package, premium wifi, included and stocked daily mini fridge, thermal suite access, a butler, and priority everything.

At least it's not a clothing optional cruise...which are also available on Celebrity via charter, from time to time...

They own you lock stock and barrel and know you aren't going any place, especially now that Royal Caribbean has merged all the loyalty programs together.
Not so fast...my Elite+ status matched to MSC's Diamond, the highest tier through their Status Match program. Three out of our four cruises currently on the books are with MSC in the Yacht Club and the other is on Regent. I still shop Celebrity but they certainly do not 'own' me. I'm loyal only to my wallet. Just booked a YC suite for 7 nights for 2026 at $1650 pp all in! Celebrity can't even come close to that price point for a suite these days.

Happy embarkation day! I hope the smell of mold was quickly replaced by something delicious for lunch! But please keep us updated on that...hopefully, it's nothing.
And yes, please keep the staff in practice for the now famous holiday coffee mentioned by @DaKahuna...I will be partaking in about 6 weeks!

We're in Woodstock. Where are you?
Other side of the world..AKA Dawg country. We are about 20 minutes outside Athens.

What would you feel appropriate?
We usually tip $5 bucks a bag, so $15 bucks for us....which is maybe average? May not be up to NYC longshoremen standards but not too shabby for 5 minutes or less of work...multiply that by a potential 10 guests an hour and the porter has made $150 bucks (tax free?) give or take...heck, maybe I'll apply.

MSC that you cannot request a specific cabana until you are onboard the ship. Is this correct?
Was just going to ask this...great Georgians think alike 🤩.

Plus, nobody is “forced” to upgrade. Just pay the difference for the drinks over the limit.
As I understand it some things that are included in the premium package aren’t included in the classic. So there is no up charge for the difference. In that case, one pays full price.

This should have been done pre-cruise by calling and explaining the situation and probably providing a doctors letter stating the recovering's recovery. Nothing new here.
Enjoy your new cruise line!!
"Wife's sister is a recovering alcoholic, so the upgrade for only 2 of 3 passengers could ONLY have been done once onboard, to allow her to NOT be required to upgrade."
Not sure why Celebrity would circumvent their preboarding rules about upgrading only certain members of the travel party by calling ahead if they don't have the leeway to circumvent their the own rules about upgrading (using a discount) post boarding. In other words, there were rules in both directions...hence OP's Catch-22 comment.
At some point someone either in the Customer Service call center or on the ship itself needs to have the autonomy to make a judgement call based on common sense as opposed to published rules. JMO

Can they bypass the concierge and bar manager to escalate higher? I think I would give it a try.

I may be wrong, but I read it as "yc wheelchair guest and the people they were cruising with got ahead of abled yc guests and abled guests got pissed off"
Ahh...thank you. I got a little lost in the detail of the OP. Makes sense now.

So let me see if I’ve got this right. YC guests got angry that non YC guests somehow got into their check in line? Yikes! They sound like a barrel of laughs to be among as fellow travelers of the YC!

Only 19 ships inspected received a perfect score! Good for MSC!

Really? I don’t know this. Please tell me more… like how many bonus points?

All of YC is forward facing on the ship therefore making any aft view quite difficult. Did I misunderstand the question?

Looking forward to following along and seeing YC through fresh eyes. If I may ask, what deck is your YIN? We just booked Seascape for March 2026 in a YIN and the description on line says the space is 226 sq ft. But im skeptical.
we have a deluxe balcony on seascape YC booked for this November. So all reports, no matter how trivial are greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand your question. But I'll give it a shot. If you decide you want to cancel Regent Air and book your own, you must tell them at least 90 days prior to your cruise. This is on your booking confirmation. If you cancel Regent Air and book on your own, then you're now bound by the rules of the airlines, so you need to be familiar with those. If you cancel the cruise prior to Final Payment, you still "own" the flights and will have to work with the airlines to make changes. If you book through Regent, then you have no issues if you cancel before Final Payment. You also lose all transportation to and from the port and airport that Regent provides. Lastly, if Regent changes either the origin or destination of the cruise, like what happened earlier this year in Alaska, you are on your own to work with the airlines and are bound by their rules.
But you control your own destiny if you book your own fights. If you use Regent Air and don't deviate, you are at Regent's mercy. The flights you'll generally see will have a "less desirable" itinerary. You can try to get them changed, and many are successful. But since those flights aren't even booked until around 75 days out, your options are much fewer than if you book 210 days out with Custom Air or pick your own flights. I always try to book with Regent Custom Air at the 210 days out mark, unless I can get the flights for less than Regent's air credit. I take the most advantageous method.
Not sure if that is what you're asking, but hope it answers your question.
Thank you! Really appreciate all the details. You answered my question a more. 😊

Ok..question. We make final payment in December for a late april cruise embarkation. I have no idea what the air arrangements will be as of yet using Regent. If I decide to go with my own air arrangements after I make final payment, then what?

Wind gusts are still in the 40s, very little rainfall, and power is still on.
Spoke to my parents this morning.... They are in Ft. Pierce, so on the east coast. Their risks, as I understand it, include possible flooding, loss of power, and high winds...oh, and tornados. Praying for all of you...please keep us posted.

Port Canaveral area is forecast to experience 3 to 5 foot storm surge. For people returning from cruises, is there a likelihood that a 5 foot surge would flood and damage cars parked at the port?
There is a covered parking deck at the terminal that is several stories high. I always park 2 or 3 levels up. Otherwise, it’s very possible.

Sorry. I never thought about it sounding that way to other posters.
Laura
No need for apologies. It’s so easy for something so simple to be lost in translation. I chuckled bc I wondered what better name MSC could possibly come up with and then I realized…no harm..besides my heart skipping a beat…lol. 😂 All is well!

Thalassotherapy pools
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
It’s located in the solarium, not the spa itself so open to all guests 16 and up.
