I was on a few minutes ago and I received an error message that an update was in progress. They must be making a modification of something.

We’ve been on two VR cruises that stopped at Koblenz and both times there was an included tour of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress for those with mobility issues.

That is standard for the river cruises. On our last VO Mediterranean cruise they had initiated a pilot program to do the same for Ocean. Does anyone know if this has been implemented on all VO ships?

My guess it has something to do with GDPR data privacy laws. Norway has not adopted it and the website would have to implement these stringent security measures if it does business with the member states. Under GDPR you have a “right to be forgotten” meaning if you request it, all identifying personal info must be removed. As a DBA the big hurdle we had was database backups, which can go back years. It’s really worth the extra cost to visit the Roman homes at Ephesus, some of the best preserved in the world.

I just checked the Viking Daily from our trip last year. There is no shuttle. The cruise terminal is right in town. We took the optional Ephesus tour which ended with a rug weaving demonstration at a shop. Afterwards we walked across the street to the cruise terminal. IMG_9764.mov

Yes, if there is a table available at any of the specialty restaurants, you can eat there every night. There is no limit.

Unless it’s part of a B2B itinerary, the restaurant is usually closed on disembarkation mornings.

Weather in the rest of the country is horrible. Lots of cancellations today. Clear and sunny in So Cal today. Go outside and enjoy it while you can.

I suggest time is better spent at the Diocletian Palace. We took the optional tour of the Meštrović Gallery and really enjoyed it.
