  1. I've received the following information from Oceania customer services "Good Morning, Non-alcoholic wines and beers are included in the House Beverage Package. Other inclusions are water, soft drinks, speciality tea and coffee. Virgin Cocktails are not included and would be available at a charge or if you purchase the upgrade to the Prestige Beverage Package." I did think some of the AF cocktails were included (eg AF mojito and pina colada) but not the Lyre's spirits ones .
  2. good to know. Do you know if it is included in the Simply More drinks package selection?
  3. We only drank it in our cabin. You can of course walk around anywhere with a glass but only if you've bought it on the ship.
  4. Really enjoying this thread. Although I don't have children, I'm equally happy on adult only or family friendly cruises - it's generally the adults I have issue with! At 62 I find it very funny how ICF seems (and I paraphrase) to be amazed that anyone over 60 is fit and energetic 🤣. I don't know how old you are ICF but I can assure you that I still feel about 25 and intend to carry on doing so, regardless of my age! Look forward to your next review. We have no P&O trips planned in 2024 just Cunard and Oceania but I'll be checking in regularly.
  5. we were on in October and found an indoor market stall in Sardinia selling plastic 1.5 litre bottles of wine "en vrac" (like mini petrol pumps!). The guy gave us some tasters and it was really good so we bought a bottle to take back on (4.5 euros!), no problem taking it onboard.
  6. I have seen a pdf of a wine menu from Feb 2023 which shows Pierre Zero sparkling, white, red & rose by the bottle. I'm going to contact them to ask about AF wine by the glass! I'm a big fan of Lyre's non-alcoholic spirits so I will be enjoying Happy Hour with those on our Regatta trip in October. I agree that over here we have excellent, and ever-improving alcohol free options.
  7. our experience travelling from Manchester with Jet2 in October mirrors the OPs from Bristol. Got through bag drop and security very quickly (the newly refurbished T2 is fully open now) and the flight was very good. Also echo the OPs comments re The Glass House (those prawns!!) and Epicurean. Both excellent as was Sindhu. We flew out to Malta but back from Tenerife and really liked the shops at Tenerife airport - some great deals on perfume.
  8. thanks for this. We're going on Regatta so it might just be the occasional pop-up class.
  9. My husband is very interested in the Art Class, and I'm interested in the Cooking Class. Do you know if they free or is there a fee? On Cunard there was a nominal fee for art materials.
  10. we tried the Peller Ice Cuvee and the rose on our recent Azura cruise. Very nice, thanks for the recomendation.
  11. or if you have a library card and can access ebooks free of charge.
  12. I've recently read that book, it's very funny and there are some recognizable types!
  13. it was on the buffet some mornings on Azura last month, along with vegan baked beans (I thought baked beans were usually vegan anyway!) and heuvos rancheros. A bit dried up but tasty.
  14. some mornings on Azura last month there was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs in the buffet. There was also congee some mornings, which I love!
  15. Boarding in Brooklyn for our honeymoon TA back to the UK, only for my new husband to realise that he'd left his new wedding ring in the hotel room in Manhatten! We eventually tracked it down and it came home solo on the following EB crossing! Sadly the shine was dimmed for the actual boarding but the rest of the trip made up for it. Favourite spot (apart from my beloved Commodore Club) was the low deck where you can sit inside just above the ocean and watch the sea. Perfect.
  16. we upgraded to BA Premium Economy for a cruise with Cunard. We flew Manchester-LHR in normal class then LHR to Vancouver PE. The return was Miami to LHR in PE. BA kindly cancelled our LHR-Man flight on the day of a rail strike but that's a whole different tale. Our TA got us the upgrade when BA had a sale on and I think it was about £350pp.
  17. thanks for your report Selbourne, thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm pleased you had a good time.
  18. Does anyone know if there is a shuttle in Ishigaki or do we dock so close to the centre that there's no need for one? Visiting on Regetta October 2024. There's a very interesting article about it in the Cunarder magazine and I'm thinking we won't need a tour here.
  19. on Azura last month there were no headphones but it certainly wasn't instrusive elsewhere. The only place you could really hear it was on that particualar part of the deck. Far worse was frequent loud music during the day on the deck behind it. We could always find a quieter spot though. Maybe QA will have headphones, who knows. We did watch a film one evening and it was very cozy, with extra thick mattresses and good quality fleeces.
  20. At least they'll have a good view of the Sea Screen if they look up! We will be in a cabin on that deck, chosen because I like forward high up cabin and also love to be reasonably near the Commodore Club. I won't be crossing the magic line into the Grills section though! I might gaze mournfully though ...
  21. we received it this morning for a Cunard cruise next June. Also never needed assistance.
  22. I can recommend the veggie shepherd's pie. Had it twice it was so tasty - lots of veggies including plenty of mushrooms, no fake meat.
  23. that must be infuriating! On Azura last month there were small folded cards saying "still in use, do not clear" or similar and we used those sometimes when we both wandered off to find more food!
  24. Have a wonderful time, I'm very much enjoying travelling vicariously with you!
  25. we were on for 22 nights in October and there were definitely repeated menus.
