  1. We are on the Azura repositioning cruise in October from Malta to Tenerife. We have our Malta flight info, but nothing yet for the flight home from Tenerife on 27/10. Has anyone got any Tenerife - Manchester flight info for later in the autumn? We do have flights times of 11.30 dep, 15.30 arrival but no carrier or confirmation of times. thanks
  2. we bought at £5.77 after very helpful advice on here. 2 cruises booked (so far) and enjoying watching the prices - my only foray into shares 😃
  3. thanks so much for posting from your trip. All the Insight Lectures look good, I'd be spoilt for choice! We are on QA next year to the Fjords - hope we get a similar programme! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Not sure what you have planned in Barcelona but the Hospital San Pau is well worth a look, It's quite near the Sagrada Familia. https://santpaubarcelona.org/en/
  4. we booked this October's repo last October having seen it online. When I rang P&O to see if they would price match, they couldn't see it in the brochure and had to search for it. So it will appear at some point!
  5. my favourite is Crafty Nectar 0.5 but I've only ever bought it on line. Sainsbury's own make isn't bad. I'm not a fan of the fruit ones, too sweet.
  6. I've not seen much AF wine in bars around me. A local restaurant now has an AF white at £14.50, cheaper than its full strength wines but 3x the supermarket price (as are many wines). I saw AF prosecco at £25 a bottle once! I didn't buy it. I'm hoping Azura has a choice of AF wines later this year, but I'm not hopeful! Still, even 1 would be good. There are some good beers, I'd be delighted if Lucky Saint made it onboard.
  7. "- Guests will have the opportunity of staying with the promotion they have booked or moving to the new offer." watching this with interest. We have booked Japan to Singapore for October 2024, through a UK travel agent. We've taken the flights and the excursions so I'm interested to know what our "opportunity" will be!
  8. we did this last year. Amazing experience. We had an inside cabin and spent all day out on deck watching what was going on. I think we were on the starboard side of the Promenade deck which had more shade later in the day. Even at lunchtime we ate outside - I can recommend checking out the outdoor grill at the back of the Lido buffet. They have a daily special eg crab cakes or Southern fried chicken. It was very hot, they regularly brought a drinks trolley round on the Promenade deck. It was cooler in the evening as we were out of the Canal by then on in more open sea.
  9. I've never had issues with Easyjet. We flew to Paris with them in April. We only used hand luggage and took the option to have 2 bags each in the cabin, a handbag and a small case. Like this one from IT luggage. No problem.
  10. we are also on the repo cruise this October flying from Manchester to Valetta. Flight out is Jet2, flight carrier back from Tenerife hasn't been confirmed yet.
  11. We flew to the Caribbean Premium Economy a few years ago and it was a wonderful experience, even without the lounge at Manchester. Because of getting off first, no luggage to collect (Domincan Republic) we were 2nd or 3rd on board the ship. Would definitely do it again.
  12. and it's very frustrating. Could almost wish for a poor signal in Blackpool 🤣
  13. did you notice if they do alcohol free cocktails in Sindhu? thanks
  14. I'm not keen on the guinness but as you say the beers are quite good. Some great ciders too (not the mixed fruit ones, way too sweet for me!) I've recently tried Wolf Blass and Tempus Two red & wine AF wines and they're definitely an improvement on a few years ago. Love the flavoured tonics. I'll be trying the Nojitos when we are on board later this year.
  15. absolutely. Which is why P&O should tell pax what's happening.
  16. The science park is fascinating and it's easy to hop on a bus from there into the old town, or walk (about 30 mins) along the river bed park. We stayed opposite the science park for 5 days having had a day in Valencia from a cruise. One of my favourite cities. But it would help if P&O told pax that's where they'd be dropped off!
  17. yes, I've had some good ones. The range and quality have increased so much in the last few years. It can't be too hard for Carnival to source some decent ones!
  18. did they actually find you some?
  19. it's a very small range but at least it's a start! btw my current favourite alcohol free red is Tempus Two from Oz.
  20. I'm hoping for AF wine on Azura. Cunard (same parent company) have Torres Natureo on the wine list. I like the rose. I found this online. https://my.pocruises.com/content/dam/po/my-cruise/gifts/FB20-018-02-A-bottle-of-our-finest.pdf Probably dining room/room service only, but I suppose you could take it with you when you leave the table!
  21. Excellent idea. I no longer drink alcohol and before boarding QE last time I contacted Cunard shoreside to ask if the PA could be removed and a substitute provided - alcohol free wine, sparkling elderflower, etc. I was delighted to find a bottle of my favourite AF rose wine (Torres Natureo) in the fridge when we embarked. I'll be requesting the same next June on QA.
  22. I wish our Cunard embarkation experience was as good as you've experienced! 3 hours in Vancouver last July to join QE, disembarkation in Port Lauderdale was slick and quick though. 2 hours a few years ago in Brooklyn for QM2. An hour sat on a coach in Southampton a few years ago. Our most recent boarding was MSC on Southampton - 10 minutes after leaving the coach we were onboard. We are on Azura in October from Malta. We have an early flight so hopefully an early onboard too.
  23. I don't drink but I'd love to see a premium AF package, like the Cunard one where all hot drinks, alcohol-free cocktails (inc Seedlip ones), alcohol free beers and a decent range of soft drinks (lots of different San Pellegrino pop, Fevertree tonics, Fentimans, etc) are all included. On MSC they even included AF wine with dinner. The P&O one isn't very good in comparison, and it's a shame the hot drinks package is going too. It will be PAYG for us in October.
  24. We sail in October and bought 100 shares in December (thanks everyone here for their advice). I applied for my OBC on Wednesday 26/4, got the auto reply, and got the confirmation on Monday 1/5. Pretty quick, especially over a Bank Holiday weekend!
