All the B cabins are the same size there are some on deck 7 that have extended balconies on the O class ships (Marina & Riviera) All the food venues are available to all It is a personal choice if you like forward/aft or mid ship cabin locations

I agree Our first cruise back in '74 we hit a storm out of Bermuda sailing to Montreal the ship was 20,000 GRT the waves were up over the bow of the ship I was so sick I vowed never again in the '80's we did sail again it was fine but have had a few rough seas but have not been as sick as the 1st cruise thank goodness 😉

Could be the race to be King of Cruises could have cut corners in getting the ships in the water I recall they also had the shower doors shatter causing injuries to some pax I will not say I will never sail on Viking but probably not JMO

What ship are you sailing on?? If the ship is underway you will have more wind at the front They probably have the solid steel railings so it may reduce some of the wind as well as the view JMO

Be careful booking some places in Amsterdam as they do not have elevators & some are just big enough for 2 PPL & 2 cases Movenpick by the port or Barbizon Palace might work for you if they have availability not 5* but convenient locations

We have done a month on board & still only take 1 26" case each we have had temps of 30C to -0 C so have winter jackets & as well as summer clothes to pack Laundry is the key Yes I know you are on vacation & some people do not want to do laundry I my case I would rather do laundry than have multiple bags to drag around YMMV
