OH NO
Horrors I have an Oceania lanyard & have had reception punch a hole in my key card 🙄
I will now be mistaken for the great Mass market cruiser crowd
The great ones will be horrified
In the past you had to insert the key card in the lock I guess things are different post covid??
I usually put the card holder away as they are too fiddly to get the card out when you need it
Exactly
so wait to see if the ice bucket is full or not
I have never had a problem so never needed to instruct housekeeping on how to do their job
Just saying
Interesting that you need to ask for the ice bucket to be filled
Never had a problem in the A B & C cabins would have thought is was a given in PH 🤔
If you do not mention the problem with the staff it will not be fixed
If the butler cannot do the job then they need more training ..they may or may not be put off the ship as you say
They may be demoted until they get trained but not immediately sent packing 🙄
Can you just add $$ to your onboard account before the cruise ?
Or if for someone else gift them the $$
I would check with Cunard tell them what you want to do & ask how to go about it
What did you wear to the specialties ?
You could probably wear to the GDR no "formal" attire required 😉
What happens when the outdoor space is closed due to bad weather & the indoor space is packed??

It would not break the bank for people to buy a nice pr of Dockers or dress slacks & a polo to wear to dinner
If they can afford to wear designer ripped jeans at $300+
It is just they choose to flaunt the rules & if called aside start a rukus
If you want more casual attire than Oceania requests then just cruise on a line that allows that
But if management is not going to stop those people dressed in joggers/bathrobes/ripped jeans then the rest of us have to choose to pick a line that cares about the dress code they set in place or we can go with the flow
I can sail on other lines if I want to see people in track suits at dinner
YMMV
Done here
Go to the ports of call forum
Look for recommended guides in the ports you are visiting
No guide is going to ruin their business reputation by not getting you back to the ship on time
We always plan to be back 1 hr prior to sailing time
Those horror stories you read about are usually those shopping or sitting in the bar without a watch 😉
we have not missed the ship once in all our cruises
JMO
there are special ice packs you can buy to transport medication
ask your pharmacist
the fridge in the cabin is more like a cooler so depending on the temp the shot needs to be kept at it may or may not work
as suggested call the special services
I have read some keep their insulin in the ice bucket ??
If you are going to pick a perk then choose that option now
You can always change it at a later date
If you choose not to take a perk then it will cost you to add it at a later date
If you do the Shore excursions you up to 14 days prior to sailing to choose your allotted number
they are per cabin (except for solo travelers it is PP)
Both parties in the cabin have to choose the same perk

I would ask O what the exchange rate they are using now
Sometimes it is good for so many months before they change to the bank rate
Pre covid
When the USD was a good rate I would buy & stockpile them then pay the cruise in USD with our TD USD VISA
But the last several cruises it was the same exchange rate so just used my CAD VISA card pain in CAD
But you are special 😉
It is like those that never read/comprehend & post things nothing to do with what people are asking
Or people that never read the fine print in their cruise documents or insurance coverage then are surprised
I can tune out Music or conversations I am not interested in but do listen to instructions
How many muster drills have you been to when people are too busy socializing to listen to what they must do in an emergency
I make note as I do not want to be in a life boat with any of them if a real emergency should happen
JMO
For activities maybe try Viking, NCL Princess or RCCL
Food is subjective but cannot imagine food on Oceania not having variety maybe just not what you are used to
You will not get everything on one line
you can always book later than NOON the cruise line has probably been there before & they give their best guess
but as always things could change
Book the time you feel comfortable doing or stay over & book a flight the next day
