I think that may be the problem you are there before the baggage is offloaded We do not have a pass to get through the lines we have to line up for customs so baggage is sometime delayed but usually is starting to come down by the time we arrive at baggage claim Time to hit the W/C while we wait 😉
  2. yeah probably the 2 day cruise is for the staff Christmas party 😁
  3. They used to do this a lot then someone in Revenue got smart & they did not overbook so much Must be a change in managers 😉

If you can make contact prior to the sailing with the Concierge & have a list of pax & cabin numbers they used to send invites but that was pre covid I would just ask the concierge when we boarded to have the sign out after muster Sometime they would sometimes not Some sailing we just agreed to meet in Horizons after muster & before dinner
  5. Just cancel & move on Why get your knickers in a not over some wording in the notice You are not happy with the new itinerary so get your deposit back it is not like it is next months cruise they have changed on you 🙄

  8. That is a good deal We have to pay $175 PP for the deviation on their sister company Oceania

I believe the 48 hr rule is for custom air when you request the deviation then you have 48 hrs to say yes/no before they charge the non refundable fee Other wise you get what they have You have to weigh the options that work best for you Fly in the same day get the transfer & hope your flight is not cancelled etc Fly in early with the deviation fee & book private transfer + hotel Book your own air & transfer + hotel if you fly in early JMO

  11. That is what have done in the past I take a small bottle of dish soap to give them a good clean
  12. Unless things have changed it was for 1hr pre or post treatment But not sure they monitor you or not
  13. That is interesting they give you a credit to deviate on their sister line we have to pay to deviate if using their air

  15. In the past (pre covid) Oceania released cruises about 18 mths ahead now it is 2-3 yrs ahead A lot can happen in 3 yrs 🤔
  16. We have been on a couple of times when they showed Superbowl game one time they could only get the audio but the Captain arranged for us to stay in port longer & there was a bar close by where people could watch the game Party followed on the pool deck Enjoy

I have found that in the Caribbean & Mexico they will take cash after the tour Europe is different with some guides you have to ask up front what their policy in The one Guide I did ask their refund policy ahead of time said if the ship does not dock then 100% refund ..fine until it happened then said no he booked the day for our tour so he was out of getting any other money so now 50% refund this was for Wales I see his point but if he had been honest upfront I may have just done a ships tour 😉

  19. when I have booked with a local guide I have paid on the day of the tour not in advance I have exchanged many emails by the time we leave for the cruise so have a good sense of if they will show up or not Only once did I pay ahead of the trip & we did not make port Then the guide decided to change his refund policy to 50% of the cost which was over $600 that I lost (I had a group) I did manage to claim that on my insurance I am sure Viator is fine in some cases but have seen too many people that did not get their tour nor their refund YMMV

  22. You could always pre book a private car service (if available ) then you will know the cost upfront Contact the hotel & see if they can recommend something JMO
  23. I saw on another forum people recommended a "jet lag app" Looks interesting & maybe look into it & see if that will help I always do worse coming hope from Europe it can takes me a few days
  24. I do not think they use different coffee on different ships or in other areas Before Illy they had Lavazza & usually in all the restaurants unlike some main stream lines where they use that yucky syrup
  25. I have ordered cappuccino in GDR it is fine If plain coffee it depends on who makes it just like the food 😉
