We have been on the O class ships pre covid & walk ups were turned away I do not think the ships are at full capacity YET probably by Dec they might be back to normal occupancy April was still Capacity controlled so maybe it was possible to walk up & get in but not normal OP How many PAX are on your current sailing??

Are your friends in the same cabin cat? When you book your res there is a tab "add a guest" or similar wording just click there as mentioned you will need their booking number it counts as one of their allotted res

Usually room service staff work elsewhere on the ship not dedicated to just ROOM SERVICE Daily gratuities is shared by restaurant wait staff & Housekeeping (I believe that includes all those staff in the stairwells cleaning the railing/carpet & the washrooms) I am sure the cruise line has a system that works tips on drinks shared by bar staff shipwide AFAIK I pay what the cruise line charges We get the PPG we tip extra to our room staff if we order room service we will give them something as well YMMV

Yes if you paid the $23 PP PD in gratuities the butler & Housekeeping are covered But why would you pay this far in advance ? Yes The Terrace Cafe is a buffet style as is Waves but not self serve

I think just the O class ships have the Craps table as the casino is a bit larger

I do not know what the solo rate is now for the Oceania cabins that are now designated for Solos but might be worth looking at They are the obstructed view on deck 6 143 sq ft if you could live with that for 6 mths it may or may not work Depends on where & how long you want to be away & budget RCL has a RTW cruise but about 9 mths I can only dream of a world cruise 😉

Some people are more comfortable taking ships tours I would get a group from your roll call & go with a private guide It is a personal choice JMO
