  1. I kind of liked the Chef's Table location on Miracle, with Frankie overlooking.
  2. Legend is going in April. Should offer some clues.
  3. The snorkel pier is at the far end of the beach There are 3 small white buoys that mark locations of interest. One is between the life guard and the rust bucket in the distance. The other two are to the left - you can ask the life guard to point them out.
  4. No chance of Carnival building a Spirit class, for example. But I do think a similar size is possible, although it might not resemble what people remember. There would have to be radical changes to control costs. Carnival is trying a somewhat different direction with Carnival Italian Style. They could pick up one or two of the older HAL ships for a test run of a new concept. and maybe a grandson of Vargas.
  5. Deflecting to Carnival isn't a reason for Royal's problems. But maybe someday the thread will get back to Carnival and small ships and the Gargantuan of the Seas threadjackers can move on.
  6. I don't know if that is too limited but you can contact Carnival https://www.carnival.com/about-carnival/special-needs
  7. This is the Whale lot and they did have problems. Then they upped police in the area. Overflow from the Erato terminal parking ends up there, too. Before the Erato terminal was built, Fulton was one of the "official" cruise port parking locations. I've parked at most locations.
  8. Looks like a standard canned response.
  9. Carnival cutback on new builds; RCCL has maybe $10 billion on the books? $10 billion in more debt? When they take delivery of a new ship, they have to cut a big check. It is one reason to delay delivery.
  10. So far only two weeks. Price protected? Could they charge any more? You love to make up stuff about me and take little jabs, but wrong as usual. I have no intention of cruising on Jubilee, much less anything larger
  11. They need to look to someone. I see RCCL has already canceled the inaugural cruise or two of Star of the Seas. Could RCCL be having trouble with financing?
  12. I'm not quite sure how they would do that. They aren't going to build anymore Fantasy, Spirit, etc ships. They aren't going to bring back Joe Farcus. It would have to be new designs with the latest technologies, and would the old customers go for it? I can see them transferring ships in from other Carnival brands, or maybe even buying rejects from other cruise lines, and Carnivalize them. I like the older, small ships, but also know it isn't feasible to try to live in the past.
  13. Yes, RCCL is looking to follow Carnival and some smaller builds.
  14. i do see in years gone by, the end of February was always the witching hour. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/financial-information/annual-reporting
  15. Not listed on years gone by, either. Included perhaps, but not part of. The annual report is released before the shareholder meeting. Perhaps it is amended after. Well see.
  16. Existing customers don't pay for new ships - new customers do. Once upon a time JH acknowledged Carnival gets sufficient repeat business or they would change to try to retain more. Frankly, Carnival needs to dump some more existing customers.
  17. Never say never. But what is implied in that statement is what we all knew - Carnival's target market is NEW Cruisers. Which means all the grousing by mature customers about a loyalty/marketing program is for naught.
  18. I don't know about regularly, but it does happen occasionally. I believe I read (or maybe jut dreamed) that Machu Picchu requires you to leave your car keys with them, which has it's own risks.
  19. Does it? The Board of Directors could vote prior. It is conspicuously absent from Agendas and Voting Results https://www.carnivalcorp.com/financial-information/annual-reporting
  20. My memory may be faulty, but I'm thinking it is actually renewed before the meeting, so maybe anytime between owand April.
  21. I parked there for our Christmas cruise and when exiting saw a car that had a window smashed in. The owners were not happy. Merry Christmas.
