  1. There is no defined diamond special meal. The perk is: "A Special Invitation from the Captain." Benefit limited to Diamond Member and one guest once per Cruise, subject to Captain's availability and discretion. No substitution if Benefit is unavailable." It could be anything or nothing, per the terms and conditions of the marketing program.
  2. It is literally on the menu you posted under steakhouse selections. The OP didn't specify if it had to be included or not. The Captain's Special invitation does not have to be a luncheon, much less include steak of any kind.
  3. Some have said it is still there. The Diamond luncheon isn't guaranteed, but the menus do change.
  4. If pay as you go, you don't have to get the 3 course meal for $14.99. You can just order a pizza for less than that.
  5. The Board has to vote on it first. It isn't a property of the annual report.
  6. I don't know about Sun Princess, but in general, the drinks are not free, but consist of a limited number of discounted drink options. An example:
  7. I just put Fidelity as the brokerage firm (which is true in my case), and uploaded a redacted statement. No passwords asked for or entered.
  8. The terms of the shareholder credit, not the fault of the app.
  9. Since Viking is privately held, I think you will be disappointed in their shareholder offer. 🙂
  10. Cruisemapper just gets their data from the individual cruise line published schedules, and doubtful they update real time. And their caveat The information on our website is provided by our contributors or is taken from the worldwide wide web and CruiseMapper is not liable for its accuracy.
  11. Seems to me they have managed to do it for decades, even after 9/11.
  12. It's worth the same as money to me in the casino.
  13. Most Carnival shares are held be institutions and they aren't eligible, anyway. A big nothing burger, the perk will be renewed.
  14. I didn't think you could book Pig and Anchor at all. First come, first served. There are two seatings with traditional dining, with late being after 7:45 which is when we prefer to eat anyway, so who cares? I think Early Seating is still the most popular dining selection.
  15. If cruise lines didn't manage costs, you couldn't afford to cruise. The cruise lines aren't saving money.
  16. It has sauce, but not too much. I liked it.
  17. Cruise lines have been banned (at least temporarily) for various reasons from various areas. It isn't like a cruise line can make demands of Alaska. It's the other way around.
  18. Doubtful. California was the last place in the country where Carnival was selling some cabins as singles (no single supplement), and those were on Inspiration and Imagination doing short cruises. An interesting combination of booze cruises and young families. I think there are just too many available options for discretionary spending.
  19. A quick look and I seen a number of Carnival Alaska cruises for under $1000pp, including some 10-11 day sailings from San Francisco. The most expensive I see is a 14 day Carnival Spirit cruise April 23 at $1059pp for an inside.
  20. Royal doesn't send the Ginormous of the Seas variety. Carnival brands are well represented in Alaska - no need to compete more with each other. Carnival Cruise Line doesn't even sail to Glacier Bay these days - other Carnival brands have the contracts.
  21. I don't see this being offered beyond Fantasy class ships (no steakhouse) and there are only 2 of those left. I view it as marketing.
