  1. It was in Noto. They have a flower festival where they decorate the streets with flower paintings. I am guessing it’s for that.

  7. Always interesting how many think the laws don’t apply to them, whether a passport in Italy, an International drivers permit or in Japan the declaration of medicines and medical devices. Sigh….
  8. Good day! Sorry to hear the pacific is so rocky, the waves and swells have been extraordinary here, too. @ger_77 yikes, glad you’re there to advocate!
  9. Over the years we’ve tried many, we lined up for Sorbillos but were underwhelmed. We’ve tried Trianon beside Da Michel and our current favourite Lombardis, is the last photo below, as well as many others. Always think a photo is worth….

Feeling very sad today, as one of our group of friends here, didn’t make it. Life is short, so here’s a rainbow that appeared unusually this morning.

Our daughter was born 10 days later and will achieve the same age, as Roy says. I share your thoughts, it doesn’t seem possible! I will jump in on the dog food, our beloved Labrador lived until nearly 17 on Kirkland lamb and rice food, Our vet couldn’t believe his age but had seen him from a pup. We have very much enjoyed visiting Kefalonia, the novel Captain Corelli’s Mandolin is set there as is the movie. The water is that blue!
  17. @ger_77 thanks for the update, really hope you don’t have to wait too long. Our friend found out in May but couldn’t be scheduled until November as emergencies bumped him. No talk of heart failure at all. Different provinces, though. We have urgent cares in our city, I went there when I had a break. But at times the waits can be worse than the ER.

Now the healing can begin! @JazzyV sorry you have to wait! @kazu yikes, glad Ivan is helping you Today we went for a wonderful lunch to the winner of the James beard award last year. Sadly this over one hundred year old restaurant and hotel, the Manago has been sold. @aliaschief wonderful news, the swells have been crazy here, so I was worried. @dfish yes on the Nanaimo bars, yum!, @Quartzsite Cruiser love how you roll, gelato is mandatory at least once, preferably twice a day! in Hawaii, it’s bubbies mochi stuffed with ice cream, preferably with passion fruit!
  20. I think we took a bus to the train station but a taxi would much easier. As long as you dock on time, the 8 am time should be fine. We just bought tickets on arrival, it’s less than an hour IIRC. I think a few hours should allow you to see both the palace and the grounds and still allow time for pizza. We’ve been to several, Trianon and Da Michel are relatively near the train station. We went to Sorbellos but were underwhelmed. It’s the second photo. The last time we really enjoyed a more local place, Lombardis, the first photo. Bon appetito!
  21. We used Treviso car services for transfers around Venice twice and they were great.
