We last sailed from Amsterdam in 2019. When we dropped off our bags, we basically just put them on a conveyer belt and didn't see them again until they were in our room. Now I have read that there are porters in Amsterdam. What is someone else's experience? I'm just wondering if I will need some euros for a tip.

No boats, no equipment, and no noise. Maybe a little bit of movement, but we had a day with high seas. It wasn't bad though.

I was in 6132 in November and it was fabulous! No lifeboats or any other obstructions on the balcony!

Is the Performance Arts Center called the Harpa Concert Hall?

I read on a different thread, that in circumnavigating Iceland, you actually cross the Arctic Circle, but I would think the Captain would have said that if it was the case.

We seem to always be able to find cans of Draught Guinness in the Martini Bar, no matter which ship it is. You just have to ask nicely...😁

Well if you count rescheduled cruises for Covid, we booked a 2021 Antarctica cruise in June, 2019 and didn't end up being able to take it until February, 2023 - 1,331 days. 😁

We took this excursion, and although it accomplished it's stated objective, it was a horror story. You collect your luggage as normal, then meet your tour bus, where they put your luggage underneath. They take you to (what felt like) a random spot to wait in the heat for the HOHO. Afterwards, you are back on the bus for the ride to the airport. On our bus, it broke down on the highway, where we sat on the side of the road, with traffic whizzing by, and no air conditioning. After over an hour, another bus arrived and they transferred our luggage to the new bus. We then were finally allowed off and had to walk on the highway to the other bus. Never again.

I did Google maps and saw that it's only 1.1km, however we weren't sure if there are steps along the way. I can handle my luggage just fine, unless I have to lug it up steps, then it's probably a no-go.

I've seen this addressed and I've tried to search for it, but can't find it. Is it possible to walk to the cruise port from the Doubletree Amsterdam at Centraal Station? We will have two checked bags and probably two carry on bags. We've stayed there before and took Uber to the port. Although it was a very short distance, because of traffic it took us over 30 minutes, so I'm trying to avoid that.

We've had some great butlers on Celebrity and some that were good. But we have always had fantastic Retreat Concierges! It seems like they can achieve the impossible at times and are so friendly! In February we had just boarded and couldn't figure out our wifi connection so we went to the guest services area. The Retreat Concierge saw us, Milca, pulled us out of line, fixed our wifi immediately, and told us to NEVER wait at Guest Services, to just come see her. She was amazing!

I actually disagree. The butler we had for a Sky Suite in November on Infinity (Walter!) was better than any other butler we've ever had in several Celebrity Suites! I really just think it's how good a butler is.
