I’m so excited to follow along with your Live! I adore your writing style and ability to see the positives in sometimes negative situations. We love Equinox, it’s probably our favorite!

Excited to follow along with you on an exciting cruise! For cruises 2 and 3, you could make all your comments on Jim’s thread - he always welcomes that!

I would agree that Apex is probably better for the Caribbean and warm climates, so that you can really take advantage of the Retreat Deck. However, we were on Apex for a cooler cruise (British Isles and Iceland), and the Retreat Lounge was awful, because that's where everyone was, and not on the Retreat Deck. It was almost always overcrowded and was often difficult to find a place to sit, let alone a comfortable place, as Jim explained. And the overcrowding was worsened by the increased number of suites on the E class ships. We're going back to S class suites now unless it's the Caribbean.

We were in a Celebrity Suite on Apex in August. The Retreat areas were so crowded it was very frustrating most of the time. I believe this is because they've added so many more Sky Suites on the E-class than the S and M-class ships. Now they're going to add even more people???!!

I feel bad for Jeremy, but what an incredible husband to do this for you!!! Keep calm and cruise on...

So sorry for your loss. Glad you didn’t do this during Dry January - would not be nearly as fun a review to read! I’m looking forward to hearing your non suite experience-we’ve been tempted but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. You might be our deciding factor! We would have to have the premium beverage package because the World Class Bar is our favorite! Hope GenZ has fun with Nana!

I would just call Celebrity. It should have posted all at the same time, so at this point intervention is required.

When we had double points for a room, they doubled our room points and the added one more day’s points (not doubled) for Go Green

Ok thanks! I guess the fact that they even said “having their final payment terms adjusted” seemed odd. Why not just say it doesn’t apply prior to that date? 🙄. Sometimes it seems they just try to make everything harder haha

On Apex it seemed shoved in the corner. Smaller, not a lot of seating, and hard to get to, especially if there was a band playing.

I’m very confused about when my Galapagos payment is due. We purchased the package in June, 2022 and the cruise is in September, 2024. So is my final payment due in April or May now?

We were on Apex in August and one of our favorites, Martini Bar, was not very welcoming. I read somewhere that they changed it on Ascent. What makes it better on Ascent?
